I defer to someone else who would like to pick it. I'm worthless and weak
Wow...so harsh on yourself today. Are we going to say that whatever restaurant is picked has to be gone to by the end of March, since we're almost done w/February?

maybe we should do it every 2 weeks starting in March. Then we can do the "best of ASFN" awards "The AS-FN's" and have more that just 11 places.

People start throwing stuff out there.

Here are some catergories:

Best place to get breakfast for dinner
Best place to get a steak under $20.00
Best hamburger

Restaurant of the month?

How about picking a food type, such as pizza, and give a review of good and bad places they have eaten.

Make it a food review of the day...pizza, subs, italian, sushi, etc.

That's fine, but it's not the original idea of this thread. I'd set that up in a different thread. Right now, for this thread, we need to pick a restaurant to be reviewed.

What if we took whatever restaurant the Republic reviews that week? Like, the one from the last Wednesday of February for the 1st half of March, the 2nd Wednesday in March for the last half of March, then the last Weds. of March for the first half of April, etc.? If they review a place that's too pricey, then some people just don't go for that one.

I have effin nightmares about BurgerKing. If that ***** shows up outside MY bedroom window, Im kicking his effin ass!

There are over 18,000 restaujrants in NYC, which one would y'all like to start with? Should we do fine dining, chinatown, maybe a burger or some amazing BBQ (thats right, amazing BBQ right here in NYC)???

LDM on 18th and Irving. Its classic Sonoran as you'd expect, but they dont take rezzies, its ALWAYS busy, and with margaritas (plural, of course) you're looking at like 75 per person. OH, and the effin food is HOT. Searingly hot. Its awesome, but at that money, Its a rare trip, cause for 75 per person you can eat well in NYC. Ive been to A soup dumpling place in Chinatown. Is there only one? Havent been to peasant, b ut I know the name. I avoid SOHO like the plague usually.

Bump. We need to pick a place. The Republic did this place last week--thoughts, anyone?

Island Roots Guamanian Cuisine

When: Lunch and dinner, 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays; 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays; 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Sundays.

Where: 1285 W. Elliot Road (southeast corner at Priest Drive), Tempe.

Phone: (480) 940-1887.

Price: $

I took out the rating, so as not to give people a pre-conceived notion of what to expect, but here's the link if you really want to know:

I'd like to participate, but with my wife being gluten free, we can't really go together to eat out anymore.

:(
