I can't remember the last time ASU beat au so handily in Tempe. I remember the Plummer team destroying them in Tucson one year.

Other than that.... usually pretty close games.

Great job by ASU last night. I was very impressed w/ how DJ Foster stepped in and showed why he was such a highly prized recruit. And our defense was tough as nails, especially in the first half when the game was won in my view. Carey ended up getting his yards in the end, but we closed him off in the first half in building the insurmountable lead.

And how about seeing tight end De’Marieya Nelson at running back scoring 2 TD's. That was awesome, and a bit unexpected.

It will be interesting seeing what the coaching staff comes up with against Stanford next week. I bet we see some more new twists.

Now we have beaten U of A 2 years in a row. This year looks like one of the the biggest routes in Territorial Cup history. There has been a lot of talk by the U of A folks this year. I remember one in particular stating that both ASU and U of A are wallowing in the same level of mediocrity this year. Really? ASU's football program is head and shoulders above U of A's right now. Its not even close, just like the scoreboard.

Hopefully DJ Foster's success can get more local recruits wanting to stay home.

I wonder if ASU has a redshirt freshman they might play at RB if necessary for depth? It seems Deantre Lewis is not getting many carries. However, De'Marieya Nelson getting playing time at RB was a pleasant surprise.

Great game. Very intense effort from ASU on the defensive and offensive lines. Kelly played his usual solid effective game. De'Marieya Nelson had a breakout game. Next year looks solid at RB with DJ and Nelson coming back. I believe BJ Denker learned an important life lesson from talking smack on twitter. A lot of UA fans were really embarrassed by the effort he put forth after running his mouth all week. Especially on a couple of the pics where he weasled out of stepping up in the pocket and instead threw off his back foot. I wouldn't be surprised to see Rich Rod reign in the twitter smack talk at least until he can recruit a more competitive team. Overall the UA fans were loud until kickoff, then quiet until most had left in the third quarter.

I still think Carey showed he is the best inside runner in college football. I think he goes in the second round if he leaves this year. He plays much bigger than his size. A little like Steven Jackson, but with much more quicks. I think Bradford, Carey and Sutton all have the potential to play in the NFL. I am not sure I see the benefit for Bradford or Carey to stick around at their schools next year.

Just saw this stat mentioned on the Devils Digest site, I haven't bothered to double check it, but if true, is pretty remarkable:

Every one of ASUs 58 points scored against UofA was by a Todd Graham recruit.

Thats pretty impressive I think. I think we all felt like Erickson was a decent (not great, decent) recruiter, but wasted a lot of potential talent. Hopefully Graham can continue to get guys in here that fit his system.

Lets hope this P-12 South championship and stomping of UA helps turn some of the AZ kids who have been looking elsewhere around and get them on board the ASU bandwagon.

Wow! If true, that is damn impressive given this is only his 2nd season!!

Taylor Kelly was an Erickson guy.

At least someone is man enough to come back after the game

I wasn't talking trash during the week and didn't feel the need to come back to discuss.

It was an embarrassing showing by Arizona, and in no way reflects the direction of the program, but rather accentuates the fact that we are devoid of talent almost everywhere, including QB, which was the dagger. Trade BJ for Kelly and I think we have a much different outcome to the teams' respective seasons.

I was looking at the list of Arizona recruits from 2009-2011 and was embarrassed by the number of non-contributors and players who left or were kicked off the team.

While you guys say Erickson was an average recruiter, Stoops was too, but simply gave up towards the end of his tenure. See Brett Hundley as a perfect example. The cupboards were bare, and has made it difficult to field a quality product; however, two winning seasons to start the RichRod era is not bad. Of course, I'd trade for the possibility of going to the Rose Bowl, but it is what it is.

Embarrassing showing for my Cats thus far... but hey, we beat Duke! :)

I'm content with the weekend with our victory against Duke. We're now the #2 seed and look flat out dominant as a team.

Taylor Kelly also didn't score.

Unless he had a rushing TD I'm forgetting (quite possible).

He threw for TDs, but the guys who actually scored them were all Graham guys.

I know what you're inferring, but a passing TD is considered scoring (or at least in the box score).

Being an Arizona Cardinal fan, you should know the impact a solid QB can have on skill players vs. an incompetent one. You think Strong has the same game with BJ Denker behind center? Not discounting Graham's recruits in anyway, but if you had some schmuck behind center, those skill players don't put up those numbers.

Was at the game and saw nothing even remotely close to crap like that... In fact, as we were walking out of the stadium after the game, I mentioned to my wife how nice it was to see both UA and ASU fans cheer their respective teams - passionately, keep up good-natured ribbing of one another, and all the while keep things very well under control.
