I have an overpowering thought that The Bean will struggle with the Cards, and then become a star with another NFL team, Like Garrison and Thomas Jones.

How many fan dollars do we have to spend to get a decent consistant NFL team with continuity and legacy.

Whisenhunt focuses on kissing frogs and starting 2nd tier NFL talent while we are a twisted mangled fan base. Mike Adams was spectacular 10% again, the other 90%--- has he ever defended a pass against a top WR?

THT is the bomb, dancing bomb, I watch the Steelers on MN and their solidness 90% of the time while The Cards count on the big play 90% of the time.

I feel punch drunk! I'm tired of getting back up off the floor as a fan, staggering back onto my face repeatedly.

AND MY TEAM THROWING THE KNOCKOUT BLOW!

two reason why I dont think this will be the case:

1. The environment organizationally is light years better than that in the Hearst / Thomas Jones era. Both of those players couldnt wait to leave.

2. Both were casualties of coaching changes. The new guy felt no obligation to stick with the old guy's draft pick. Whisenhunt isnt going anywhere for a while.

thanks

stupid coaching decisions new or not. but I feel a little better, thanks

Would THT start on any other NFL team? maybe platoon on the bottom 5 worse rush teams. maybe.

but THT would have been playing deeper into the 4th preseason game than Beanie on all other teams.

Seems Whiz and Russ just keep piling on their personell, management and playcalling problems. plaers see their future pretty non red.

Seriously your man-crush on "The Bean" (very cute BTW) is becoming scary, almost like a stalkerish obssesion.

What I dont get is why you cant praise "the bean" without making completely spiteful jealous sounding comments about THT? It is almost like you just cant stand THT playing well. Seriously dude I used to enjoy some of your posts and enjoy a little back and forth with you. But you are starting to kinda creep me out.

Put a real OLine out there and magically "the Bean" and other would live up to their potential...

SOOOO Tired of a sub-par line.

I dont ever remember a dominant line as a cardinal fan ever.

I do...in the mid '70's!!! Finnie, Young, Banks, Dobler & Dierdorf...awesome. It is hard to believe the Olines have been putrid outside of a pretty solid line in the early '80's. :bang:

Bring back Jim Hanifan!!! He was the one constant in both of those Olines.

Sure. Why wouldn't he ?

I am pretty sure the Packers would love to have Highsmith right now. Or the Patriots. I am sure he would start for the Redskins.

He is not all world but he is not horrible either.

Mr. Wells has not be doing all that great either.

I say we stick to bashing the offensive line. The mystery of that unit continues.

THT is averaging 5.1 yards a carry, good for 5th overall in the nfl while playing for an offense that has no credible passing threat. His running is fine as long as he can hold onto the football.

10 years ago, SDS averaged maybe 25k fans and the team was changing coaches every third year or so. The team was known as a dead end for careers. I think things are a bit better.

That is a hugely misleading stat. It's not that TH is averaging 5.1 yards per carry it is that he and Wells are averaging 1 yard or less on far too many carries.

Both were casualties of coaching changes.

If you are talking about Jones that is not true. TJ was on the team with McGinnis for 3 years before leaving before the 2003 season which was McGinnis' last.

As for Hearst the story was he was released because the Cards needed money to sign Simeon Rice.

Do you have The Bean rated as a top 5 running back like you have Leinart?

Wells could have been. Too dang bad those things never seem to work out for us. Now instead of being the guy who was going to make us forget about taking Levi over AP it appears he's going to be the guy who made us forget about Beanie Wells.

IIRC Jones was put on PUP after breaking his hand "answering the telephone". Later some guy came forward and said he broke it in a bar fight in Tempe. The Cards cut him loose after the season and we signed Emmitt. TJ has put together a nice career since then. :bang:

It's ALL about the offensive line. If it's good...the team is good...period.

I remember this line too. What a great set of linemen they were. If we had this line today it wouldn't really matter who the QB was because we could smash mouth the running game.
