is BASK. During the Whis years I always had questions on guys they drafted or at least second guessed picks but with the new staff it is more like "well, they just enlightened me on something" and not "what the hell are you doing". For instance, if I would have preferred a player available and they select another... then I'm going to go "I did not know he was that good" opposed to trusting myself without no scouting staff or professional background because they have really handled their first year well. Having these guys draft is like having a QB you trust, I will not be watching this unfold thinking with dread we are about to throw an interception lol

I too am looking forward to the draft. I have a lot more trust in Keim and the FO now than ever before.

Excited to see what we do in FA also.

Good time to be Cardinals fan.

JG and BC, I am right there with you, but before we get carried away, please remember that they really had no misses last year, (and misses are bound to occur with everyone). So if and when one comes, please remember all the good moves before we collectively roast them in hell for not connecting on one move. They have been so good that it is easy to lose perspective on that and give back grief on a far greater level than they probably deserve. Just Sayin'

Sure they did. Ryan Swope was a miss, maybe not for the typical reasons but still a miss. DC Jefferson was a miss as well. Minter really didn't play all that much and Cooper looks promising but still didn't play in a single regular season game.
While they did do a commendable job in last year's off season, I don't believe you can say that they didn't have any misses.

Swope was a late round gamble and sometimes you lose but the percentages are clearly in their corner and nobody is perfect in the draft... The value of the hits in free agency and the draft under them has clearly outweighed any flaws in my opinion :)

They took an educated chance on Swope---(they knew exactly what they were getting. When they released him, they allowed him to 'retire injured'. If he manages to clear his head, he could still un-retire and play. That chance is very slim, but it does exist. If I recall, DC Jefferson was an un-drafted free agent. The only reason Minter didn't play much was because of the stellar play of D-Wash and Los. He will be just fine when he is needed. He is very good depth who will someday start when there is an opening. Can't call that a miss at all. All in all they did much better than you are willing to give credit for.

Swope was a gamble but one that still didn't pay off thus it was a miss. It's not the same thing as missing with your first round pick but it was still a miss. DC Jefferson was a seventh round pick and most definitely was a miss. As for Minter, he is an incomplete, we don't know yet what we are going to get from him.
Again, I'm not saying that they had a poor draft at all, they actually did pretty good. What I am saying that it is wrong to say that they didn't have any misses, when they most definitely did. They weren't major misses but they were still misses.

Either way the 2013 class was a hard luck bunch. Cooper, Mathieu, and Okafor got hurt and Swope had to quit because of concussions.
