have you sober up yet. black sabbath with ozzy stills kicks ass. by the way it is Tony Iommi. know your music.

I always preferred Sabbath with Dio myself. I know I'm in the minority but there are 4-5 songs on Heaven and Hell alone that top anything Sabbath did with Ozzy IMHO, not to mention Mob Rules.

But realistically I don't think the Superbowl Halftime is a good place to play Children of the Sea and I suspect doing Mob Rules would be like when Limp Bizkit did Break Stuff and caused a riot.

outstandin half time show ....let's give the guy a whole lot of credit for standing out there for 18 minutes in a pretty good rain and not buckling under ...like him or not i thought he deserves kudos for that...not an easy gig..

I like that first album too but it has all the energy of a funeral. It's noisy sure, but to say it rocks is rather generous. Tony... Toni... Tommy... whatever Iommi doesn't hold a candle to Prince in the playing-your-ass-off-on-the-guitar department.

But I'm sure you are a much more knowledgeable musician than me.

That's why I prefer Dio to Ozzy in Sabbath, the topic is similar, the occult etc, but the music is a little less "depressing" ?

that and Dio can actually sing.

I thought Prince was mediocre. Glad that he did Purple Rain, but disappointed that we did not hear, 1999, or Little Red Corvette, or When Doves Cry.

Sammy Davis Jr. would put em all to shame.

Prince couldn't hold a pick to Iommi's guitar riffs. Prince should stick to dancing, he could win that battle.

P.S. Black Sabbath Rules Prince Drules!!!!!!

I thought Prince was great. I'm sure the NFL didnt let him keep Little Red Corvette on his playlist, legend has it that song is not about a Car.
 :D
