14 points in 3:34. Who quit?
Bickley agrees with me
"And then the Cardinals quit." Todays AZ Republic.
So they waited until the end of the game up 14 and then "quit"? Man, that's laughable. The Vikings defense stepped it up and our offense had no answer, and our defense just wore down. Until then the Cards D had given up 10 points in 4+ quarters. If the Cardinals were quitters they would have lost 41-10.
You and Dickley need to get a clue.
Well, I thought we'd be 4-4 AT BEST at this point before the season started. So, I'm not shocked that we're 3-5. The devil is always in the details, however. The way we blew the last two games late makes our record much more distasteful than I expected.
That said, our schedule is now quite favorable. KC has turned out to be a tough game, but four of our next five are at home sandwiched around it. Seattle, SF, St. Louis, and Denver. Then, a trip to play an awful Carolina team, then home to play Dallas who has also been terrible. Finally, we end up at SF. It's ridiculous to throw in the towel at this point in the season. I don't know how we'll do over the last 8 games, but any other franchise in the league would be looking at those games and say, "We can make a run." We should too.
Being a Cards fan is just unreal.
Yeah buddy. Gut wrenching victories and losses. Super exciting team to watch even for folks that aren't Az fans. Last few years have put some serious feet in some big time mouths.
Agreed. The team has never been able to close out games. Not since Whiz has been here. Not for a long time before Whiz got here.
I disagree with this statement. Under Whiz we have been winning the close games more often than not. Typically these are the games we find ways to lose. Before the last couple of weeks, we were finding ways to give the game away, but also finding a way to seal the deal as well. I just made a post with some examples, but they were from memory so feel free to add in the games that we didn't close out.

Do you ever recognize reality or do you always do your stiff upper lip routine? At what point during the season will your recognize this organization is lost? Will it take the point of mathematical elimination before you see the obvious? The team already quit and is planning their offseason. Fitz is considering who he would like to play for for the rest of his career.
