The odds at the Imperial Palace were incredible!

Superbowl 500-1
NFC Champs 250-1
Division 25-1

This is how it brokedown:

Total $55.00 on the Cards to win the SB. If it comes through the total take will be $27,500.00 split amongst the people who bet! Different people bet different amounts!

Total $60.00 on the Cards to win NFC. Total take would be $15,000.00 split like above!

Total 40.00 on Cards to win NFC West total take would be $1000.00 Split like above!

Funny story:

jkf and maddogg sent me $5.00 each to bet on the over under for the cards which is 5 games! If they win with the odds being a -130 they will each make a whopping $3.83 a piece! WOOOHOOO!!!! LMAO!!!!! I just thought that was funny when I got the ticket! stout arent you glad you jumped off the over/under???? :p

The guys at the sportsbook couldnt belive the bets I was making and laughed at me! Cant say I blame them. But with the payoffs being so high it did require a supervisor approval in order to make them!

damn the odds are getting out of hand..is it because if starks and KVB? you would think that going 3-0 in the preseason would have brought the odds in slightly.....I have to go back to laughlin to collect on my bet on the san diego game..the odds there are nothing close to Vegas!

Nope, they haven't changed at all. Those are the same odds I got at Imperial Palace a month ago. Strange that other Casino's odds are so much lower.

Maybe you should have made a lot of small bets rather than 1 large one to minimize the tax burden when you win. I saw a guy do that at the track - he made 10 $5 trifecta bets (rather than 1 $50 bet) and when he won he cashed them in seperately to avoid the "big winner" tax.

I thought of that too. But I would have been standing at the window for 10 minutes. Plus if people want there winnings a few canmake the trip to help with the tax burden. heck if we win the SB and the NFC CHAMP bet the take for 5 on each would be 3,750 bones. Im sure Jersey girl would buy a 300.00 roundtrip ticket to come down and collect????

Doesn't the Imperial Palace try to make a case for itself as a place to make sports wagers with the best odds? I can't remember anything else really about it, I haven't gone inside that casino. Do they have a car exhibit or something?

Thanks for making me look like an ass. And BTW That $3.83 less postage will come in handy. That's about a 1/3 of a big beer @ SDS. :)

It's kind of a yukky place with nothing of interest going on IMHO. Stay clear - I wouldn't gamble there (except for sports).

Last time I was in Vegas I played a lot of craps at Rio and Mandalay Bay. Made exactly crap too.

Next time I go I think I might try to find a smaller more local friendly place off the strip.

If hell freezes and the cards make the super bowl, everyone who made the bet should come to vegas to collect the NFC championship bet and stay to watch the super bowl together in Vegas! Wow what a fiasco that could turn out to be!

The best craps odds on the strip is Casino Royale (across from Mirage). They have a $1 table with 100X odds (usually) available. Terrible's (off the strip) has a good reputation with the locals but I haven't spent much time there. I'm kind of a Vegas junkie even though I live in SoCal.

I love Craps at the Casino Royale! They have a sit down craps table. I have walked out of there with some heavy pockets before :)

Hey man, stay away from those other games. They just exist to fleece you. If you want to make some real dough, study and play Blackjack. Now THAT'S a game you can win at! Granted, the odds are still slightly with the house, but it's the best bet.

Actually the best bet odds-wise is the poker room where you play other players and not the house.

Well, sure, but I'm talking about house games.

Anyways, don't you need a LOT of money to play in those poker rooms?

I wouldn't really know. I've done my gambling in Niagara Falls. Won fairly well at Blackjack, too.

Not really. It depends on the table stakes you choose. If you play on the conservative side you can milk $50 a lot easier at the poker tables than you can Blackjack. $50 can go in a flash at blackjack. Plus, you can meet some interesting folks at the poker tables. Heck, I met my wife playing Stud at Mandalay Bay!

Actually the best House game toplay is Pai Gow Poker its the only game along with Baccarat where the house has absolutely ZERO EDGE!

Thats why you pay the juice! Much like in a poker game!

Pai Gow is great to nurse money and drink a ton of alcohol. Lots of pushes in that game.

I still prefer craps though. More action although it can be a merciless game at times. Breaks the wallet fast...but get on a hot streak at craps........

Have always wanted to try out Baccarat
