Yup..... when it comes to gambling, nothing beats the rush of a long hot streak at the Craps table! (Unless of course the Cards win the SB at 500-1)

I've done all my gambling at Niagara Falls (went to college near Erie, PA).

First trip, won 300 American at the blackjack tables. My friends and I pooled together our change (about 13 bucks worth) and won 89 at the slots. Great trip!

Second trip, lost around 50 canadian.

Third trip, won 500 Canadian (about 5 cents american :D ) That was some trip! I was gonna let it ride until I bust or hit 1,000 Canadian, but when they changed dealers and I left the table, I had a 500 dollar chip. I just couldn't make myself keep going!

Last trip, lost around 60 Canadian.

So I figure, all told on blackjack on those four trips, I came out almost 600 ahead. Not too bad!

My first time at the blackjack tables was down at Harrah's in New Orleans. I didn't really want to gamble that night (well actually I was dirt poor broke), but got handed a $100 to sit and play with a coworker. He was up huge, so he didn't think much of it. I turned it into $300 and paid him back his original $100 in an hour.

Haven't won any money at blackjack since.

If the Cards make the NFC title game I am gonna be sitting on my fat ass in AZ with my best friends watching the game - and IF they somehow with the miracles of miracles made it to the Super Bowl - you can have fun in Vegas - my ass will be planted in the nosebleeds wherever the hell that game is being played, for any amount of money.

Actually the house game with the best possible odds is Craps. Followed by Blackjack and Baccarat.
The only problem is, that in order to play at the max. odds you really need to understand the game.
And craps is a complicated game to get to know in order to utilize those good odds.
Just betting pass or don't pass etc., ain't gonna cut it.

Most people don't really learn any of the games very well, and thusly the "house" cleans up on the vast majority of players no matter what the game because they don't know how to take advantage of possible odds.

Knowledge of the game is certainly essential if you have any prayer of winning money.

Learning when to double-down and split in blackjack was the key for me.

Good point.

On second thought, I don't know what I was thinking. I would definitely be at that game. Besides, the NFC championship bet would definitely pay for the ticket!

Yeah, wish the idiots sitting at MY blackjack tables would learn how to play. Hitting on 13 when the dealer has a 6 showing. WTF? Errr.

Of course, I play the low min. bid tables since I am poor, so I guess you can't expect those people to know what the hell they are doing.

BTW, I'm 40 minutes from AC! Gotta love it!

Well, you do gotta play your own hand, but you gotta pay attention to the cards that are laid.

BTW, I would never yell at someone for screwing up my hand. That's not nice. I might roll my eyes and sigh heavily, but never yell.

I know, I HATE it when someone completely screws me over. Ah well, whadya gonna do?

Now, don't get the wrong idea about me. I've won a bit of change at blackjack, but I DEFINITELY play at the chump-change tables. I never could afford anything else, and I can't afford ANYTHING now! Lol

Anyway, I was relatively close to AC, about 3 hours, but I've moved to Virginny. Not sure how far I am now. Never made it out because of a lack of $$$.

Hey Stout, I find the more often I stay OUT of AC, the better. There's a reason why the casinos stay in business. Stay away. Stay far, far away. :)

In vegas they have those huge ridiculous displays in front of every casino just for people to stare at and attract attention so they will want to go inside.

You know what I mean, like the pirate ships in front of Treasure Island, or the flaming waterfalls at the Mirage, that ridiculously horrid castle thing at Excaliber just to name a few...

First time I ever went to Vegas, I was looking at that stuff and I thought to myself, those things cost a ton of money - better keep mine in my own pocket.

Somehow though, I got bit and now every time I go to Vegas I pay my share of monument financing.
