Id bring him in just to see how he does in camp. He would make the very minimum for camp fodder.

He stunk and was nothing but bust city. Dumb as rocks too!
No it isn't.YOu don't hear me screaming to get Dan Wilkinson(there's a bust) or backing David Boston. Katzenmoyer started on a defense run by Bill Belichick as a rookie. To say he was a dumb football player is just plain ignorant.

CBUS is right, i dont even like ohio state but the guy was a beast in college. he missed alot of classes though, i think that was more due to arrogance than anything. it sounds like he had a pretty good rookie season and then got injured. u can't call him a bust just because of an injury.

And the classes he missed were milk and sandpile type classes.

Great college player.....like cbus said football smart....but not the sharpest knife in the drawer otherwise.

He would have beeen a great linebacker in the pros, he had a pretty good rookie season. He was everything you want in a linebacker, but freak injury and him not being all there, couple short of a six pack, probably lost it in college, just left, he would have been a pro bowl backer no doubt, especially in new england.

i guess his coaches were plain ignorant then. my comments weren't based on personal observations but rather, my memory of what his coaches said when he couldn't fully grasp the defense. at osu he was allowed to play a more instinctual roving-type position that suited him. the pats d was too structured and complex for him.

then why did he go from being touted as a potential first pick in the draft to falling to 20+? it was b/c teams thought he had all the physical tools but not the mental makeup. he was never going to be a pro-bowler. and mind you, i was his biggest fan in college.

No it isn't. He even said as much, I believe, in an SI article. The article talked about how upfront he was with his willingness to admit that he wasn't anything but a football player--born and bred. Studying and grades didn't matter, because afterall, what good are they going to do him? He's going to spend the next 15 years making money in the NFL.

He's not a bright guy. Does he know football? Probably. But overall, not so smart.

So the wonderlic works!!!

Just kidding.

A scary part of this story is that we seem to be counting a bunch on Dansby this year.

Is he any smarter than da Cat?

No but since Da Cats was WAY low and so is Dansby's the jury may still be out on Dansby's ability to comprehend.

Stay tuned.

Oh my God please. The Cat was not a good player it had nothing to do with his Wonderlic. I can read of a list of good players with lousy wonderlics guys like Culpepper and Marino. Playing the MOST complex position in football. Both probowlers with low wonderlic scores. Wonderlic doesn't relate to the ability to play football in any way.

My mistake. I thought Marino went to U of Pittsburgh. Bradshaw to Louisiana Tech. Culpepper to U of Central Florida. Damn , I am confused by your facts.

You are howling in the wind, with the same old stuff. We know what your point is. It sounds like an echo.

If he doesnt hurt himself where he did, he would be a pro bowler right now, he had all the tools, he was a stud.
