The Boston Celtics just sold for a historic $6.1 billion, could a Seattle SuperSonics be coming next? The Celtics historic sale, triggered by the storied franchise's current majority owners, Wyc and Irv Grousbeck, electing to sale their shares of the team, have removed the last major obstacle (at least, according to the NBA) to expansion in the league.

The eventual valuation of the Celtics (slated to rise to as high as $7.3 billion by the time the two-tiered process is finished) will go a long way towards setting a floor for an entry fee for expansion franchises that will benefit the other owners in the league, and a potential SuperSonics revival is widely seen as among the more likely candidates.

The folks behind the "KOMO News" YouTube channel put together a clip exploring just such a possibility recently. Check it out below to see what ripple effects the Celtics sale might end up having.
