Finally.

The BRS Draft Issue is up and seemingly operational.

In addition, the BRS has undergone a face-lift (No more frames!!! And no more song!!!).

In order to access the updated site, you may have to purge your cache, hit the "refresh" button a few times and all that good stuff until you can access the new stuff.

No doubt there will be bugs (I was racing for time, for bleep, sake!) If you spot any, please let me know.

The analyses of draft prospects is totally different - I created a chart for each player (with info posted according to each set of position needs) and entered as much info as I could based on mtl from one source. That will give us a comprehensive sense of what each prospect is about.

But rather than repeat all this info over and over from the various scouting services, I'm posting a few lines of relevant info from each to supplement the base-info we already have posted. I will do this on an ongoing basis. so keep on coming back to see what new has been added.

Meanwhile, I've got to disappear for the next few days (Family business out of town) but will be back in the saddle Monday. (The site is still a bit clunky and needs tweaking so bear with me).

Let me know what you think about the new format.

Revision

Jeff, you hit a home run. I love the Draft section, even though I strongly disagree with the rankings, Jake Long is a good example. The info on each player is unbelievable, and gives a good feel for the potential draftee. As for the top 16, IMO, it needs a lot of work. Based on need no way is a TE (Davis) there. I'd suggest you give the "16" the eyeball test, and maybe revise it. But overall on 1-10, you get an 11.

The Valley so low.
Yes, thanks a ton, Jeff--the site shows really hard work, and makes comparison/analysis easier. I didn't think I'd find anyone who agrees with my ranking of the first 3 cornerbacks. [Cason, now...if we choose a CB and, after 2 years of losses, realize that he'd be a darned good safety, the pick is a gross failure, even if the safety makes the Pro Bowl.] You've boiled down the info I see on the draft sites will, and your judgments at the top are always sensible.

But never to be too positive: Yellow??? Also, I do miss the long quotes from the different sites--made me think I could skip browsing--as I could!!. And I think you need a row specifically for 'Negatives' for each player--other than the War Room quote at the top, there's nowhere that Rodgers-Cromartie's lack of experience against BCS competition can show up.

But overall, my profoundest thanks.

Not to worry about OT rankings, Garth. There's still a lot of info to post, and when I do, it will probably alter the rankings - as will a careful review of combine and pro day results (In my eagerness to get the pages up sooner, I had to go with what I had with the hope of adding more info to them each day).

The biggest potential glitches in the new format have to do with links. In redesigning the site, I had to create new pages with the navigation strip down the side; each with new file names. There will, no doubt, remain old obsolete links to now absent (and not updated) pages. As I see them, I'll revise them.

But my priority thru draft day will be to add more informative content.

In the coming days, look for:

- Draft Rumors page - set up by team by order in which it picks (including a regulary updated mock based on the rumors)

- Player Ranking by Position chart

- Top 100 (& eventually) 300 Cardinal Draft Board

- All Name Team

- A Cardinal 7 round mock based on Sporting News War Room's draft board (i.e. Cards can only pick players still available at the end of each War Room-rated round)

That's it for now. Gotta drive to Baltimore. Will be back in the saddle Mon.

Jeff thank yiou very much for all your effort and work. From a professional and technical point of view the design is excellent and the ease of navigation is going to be right there when its done...I can tell. With all the outside noise you are experiencing this was a big job and effort that I appreciate very much.

If you get this before you hit B'more don't OD on the crabcakes. If you did OD then eat some plain yoghurt..Dannon All Natural, you will find that in your local Acme or Pathmark in Jersey!!

We OD'd on steamed crabs instead, but (maybe because I eat yogurt each morning anyway) no problemo.

We moved my 91-year old mother-in-law to NJ from Baltimore. Occasion required (a) emptying out her apartment, (b) renting and filling a U-Haul (so #1 son could schlep the stuff to his apartment in Philly), (c) driving her back to our place and (d) getting her acclimated. (She was very happy that I preset the TV in her new room so that it gets all the Oriole games).

Now if I can only convert her to both Cardinal teams, we'll be fired up and ready to go.

Quite the mission...but it sound like it was accomplished. Again you did a great job on the site and again I thank you. Cards should have won yesterday afternoon...really blew it.
