I don't know why we'd be waiting on the deal if we did...their second is almost like a low first. We know Green doesn't want to start him. Actually I think he may have had more value before we signed Ross since teams might have thought we'd still maybe use him. We could be looking for something better, like a first could we? :hulk:

I think it's pretty obvious the Bucs DIDN'T offer that pick. If we were truly trying to trade Shelton and a HIGH 2nd rounder was offered to us, why the hell would we turn it down.

The Bucs offering that pick was based on a rumor and then this board took it and ran with it.

Plus most of the time the player for picks deals dont actually go down until draft day when team have a better idea of their options.

I think there's still something on the table and both teams have agreed to wait.

It didn't make any sense for either team to completed the trade at the beginning of free agency. Why not wait and see how the draft and FA moves turns out before making a trade.
You can argue that signing Ross hurt our position, but what did losing Coleman do for the Bucs?
The FA market have NO quality OTs left. Why haven't the Bills made a move yet?

These trades usually don't happen until the final week leading up to the draft. I wouldn't panic yet.

I think the Cardinals could eventually get a 2nd rounder due to the fact that there are so may teams in need of a tackle and the lack thereof left in free agency and the draft. If they can't get a second for him then we keep him and shift Ross to right guard. Opinions?

I stated earlier that I doubt the Bucs would offer us their 2nd rounder because it's damn near a 1st rounder.
The Bears solved their ot problem by signing Fred Miller.

I still got to think that Shelton is 1 of the top 64 offensive tackles in the league. Thirty two teams and each team starts 2. Add that to the fact that dumping Shelton actually COST us money against the cap. I think if we were to save a mil or two we would have taken a lot less for him.

Him remaining a CArdinal will not be the worst thing that could happen. If nothing else he gives us depth an versatility on the offensive line. I don't want to see us just give him away for nothing or next to nothing.
