Several scouts have told me they’re getting requests for more extensive evaluations of Haskins. This usually means teams are elevating him on their draft boards. CBus mentioned him on a thread and I wouldn’t be shocked if someteams that want him ask about the Cards’ pick. The problem is that none of them have enough to offer in the way of picks unles the Cards want this year’s first & next year’s. Of course they could take a player. Jax especially is looking to dump players, but the Cards would be on the hook for a higher salary value reducing the trade value of those players. If the Cards choose to go down one of the top 5 teams would make more sense.

If they do indeed trade let’s hope they get legit value & don’t go past 3-4. It’s a bigger gamble if they do imo.

Rosen may not be the answer. Perhaps we should look into this guy ourselves.

If they can get massive value like we’ve seen In The past and stay in top 5 I’m all for A trade..

The buzz is good. Lots of time to the draft. Cards in good position and have many holes to fill. Multiple draft picks this year and next year could look very good.

Who would do #1 for #7+Jalen Ramsey? I think I would. 7 is still high enough to get one of the better players in this draft and we'd have the best CB duo in the NFL and a guy to replace PP21 in a few years. I'm not certain the Jags would do it but Ramsey does have a few minor discipline concerns and he'll be coming up for big money in a few years so you never know. QB desperation makes teams do crazy things.

I would. Jags wouldn’t.

IF, and that's a big if, the Cards are even looking at any QB's, I look at Foles. He is magic. He showed it last year and again this year. He knows how to win in the playoffs too.

However, I think he ends up in Jacksonville, unless the Giants pony up and ditch Eli.

JAX may have some veteran options instead of trading up to draft Haskins who, IMO, doesn't warrant the #1 pick in the draft. Eli Manning is going to need a home as is Nick Foles. There might be others like Joe Flacco and possibly, but however unlikely, Derek Carr. Any of those QB's might do a team like JAX good even in the short term. Remember, they were a few plays away from the Super Bowl last year but Bortles took a huge leap backward this year and of those mentioned could benefit from a change of scenery.

Not at his price. And he's going to want to start if he goes elsewhere. Unless he's willing to renegotiate his Eagles contract and stay there.

If we get KK, QB will not be an issue. He will either develop Rosen or easily find a replacement to run his system (doesn't have to be a first round pick). He made Case Keenum, Manziel, Baker, Davis Webb, and Patrick Mahomes all thrive in his system. Think about another thing, none of these guys were highly recruited or 5 star QB's in high school. Baker was the first walk on to start as a freshman.

The other benefit, I can see KK developing back-up QB's as well and trading them for draft capital.

I know...I may be getting delusional.

Mahomes was a 3star that got 3 offers (Tech, Houston, and Rice). What a great story and the main reason KK is getting this sort of attention.

Not surprisingly I’ve ask about this. The feeling is MB will make this decision personally and he is not one to talk with anyone about his preference. That said the thought is he doesn’t want another first time HC, but the selection among the vets is limited. At least 2 candidates have passed on interviews, perhaps more. If I get more I’ll pass it along but I’m not on the top of that totem poll. I can tell you much more about what the talent evaluators are saying. The feeling is most teams believe next year’s QB pool will be awesome. So teams like Tampa will wait.

If this is true then a lot of teams can wait one year. The Gmen can go with Eli one more year, the Jags can find a one year replacement for Bortles for one year, the Bucs can live with Winston and already stated they plan on it. I'm not personally sold on Haskins. I know everyone drools over his numbers, however he had great protection and often was able to stand in the pocket all day and had very good YAC receivers to throw to. In games I watched him play, if he felt/got pressure and took some hits/sacks he looked pretty ordinary.

I'm not sayin' but...

While it would be highly unusual, I could see a HC candidate not overly impressed by Rosen and more impressed by a QB coming out this year.

Not likely, but the Cards figure to have enough Draft flexibility to give the new dude wriggle room if he needs it.

Bottom line - How does the new guy view Rosen? What other QBs are available in the Draft? How accepting woulld MB or SK be to doing something that radical?

In other words we picked the wrong year to be terrible, in true Cardinals fashion.

The other offers Mahomes got were as a C B candidate.
