that makes two of us!!! he was terrific...of course we were the same old chicago cardinals then...i believe JD had polio as a youngster...but he was just a great runner and blocker....if i remember correctly he broke in when lamar mchann was our quarterback...he might have been there a bit before then....if you remember JD then you were a fan to see sonny randle and sam "the rifle" etcheverry.....i was in junior high school when etcheverry broke in....he was a heralded addition at the time...oh well...i lot of the contributors to this blog have not suffered as long as we have!!!

Fer shure lobo. I started following the Cards about 1964 or so. I missed the Chicago days. I do remember Sonny Randle and Jerry Stovall and Pat Fischer not to mention ol' number 8 hisself Larry Wilson. I got to meet a RB back in those days named Prentice Gautt too. He told me lots of stories about the team and the players. If we were to somehow squeeze out a playoff game this year I will be completely gone.
