The first year Seattle won the division, 2004, they lost 34-9 to the Bills and gave up 434 yards. Later they lost 37-14 to the Jets giving up 482 yards. They won the division at 9-7. The next season they were 13-3.

The Giants only played .500 ball the second half of last season. They lost 41-17 at home to the Vikings. Manning threw 4 INTS three of which were returned for TDs in that game. Did the Giants have no business being in the playoffs?

In 2005 the Steelers lost 26-7 on Monday Night to the Colts. Willie Parker rushed for 48 yards. The Colts had 366 yards of offense to Pitts 197 and the Steelers dropped to 7-4. They lost again the next week to drop to 7-5.

This isn't the NCAA. There are no computer rankings. You don't need style points to play for the Championship. If you win your division you belong in the playoffs.

Amen Brother! It's not who's playing the best football now. It's the team thats playing the best football come January.

The Cardinals' 4-0 record in the division (3-0 on the road) is an accomplishment that is way undervalued and underappreciated by some.

Sure, the other teams in the NFC West are having difficult seasons, and all three of them are going through changes in coaching and leadership.

However, these teams do have talent.

Last year, the Cardinals played down to the level of lower record teams...this year, the three game division sweep several weeks back was a major coup...all three teams were hoping to beat the Cardinals and get back into the race. Their backs were against the wall...and the Cardinals withstood all of that, even twice on the road. It wasn't easy.

This three game stretch won the Cardinals their first division title in 33 years.

Just think, what if the Cardinals had lost two of those games...they would be 5-7 right now and fighting to win the division.

If we were to pick the three road games we would want the Cardinals to win most to this point they would undoubtedly be the divisional road games. And the Cardinals won all three. We really should be impressed with that and not take anything for granted.

Can I have another AMEN? I go into every season with the same thought. Win all your division game and theres a good chance you will win the division. I don't understand how anybody can just write off our accomplishments up to this point.
In the past we would have KILLED to be 7-5 at this point, let alone be on the cusp of a division championship.
