How does it feel to have a team as bad as the Cardinals spot you 2 TDs and end up beating you 31-14? Please be descriptive since it may be awhile until I can feel the high of a Cards win.

Our Defense was playing great, especially considering half our starting backfield will be out a long while. Admit it, after our Defense scored two touchdowns you had to be a little worried, right?

It was our offense that played horrendous. We only had the ball 22 minutes of possesion in comparison to the Cards 38. It doesn't matter how great your defensive players are, if they're out there for 38 minutes in a 7,000 ft elevation environment (2,000 ft higher than Denver) they're going to get tired.

Quite frankly, both teams are horrible. I'm already looking forward to Suns preseason, because I won't be getting much joy from the Niners this season. That much I know.

Of Course. Heck, we're cardinals fans--we're worried at the opening kickoff.

It doesn't matter how great your defensive players are, if they're out there for 38 minutes in a 7,000 ft elevation environment (2,000 ft higher than Denver) they're going to get tired.

If you're defensive players are truly great, they WON'T be on the field that long. Yeah the offense was bad (gotta attribute at least some of that preformance to the Cards' D, though, right? Credit where credit is due?), but if the D is good, they'll force a few 3 and outs and get of the field on their own. Even when the Cardinals weren't scoring early in the game, they were moving the ball pretty well.

Quite frankly, both teams are horrible.

That's kind of a cop out, IMO. If the Niners won 31-14 and shut out the Cardinals offense, I'm fairly certain you wouldn't be here saying how bad they are. You'd be saying that at 2-2 they're tied for first place and are a legit playoff contender.

Both teams may be bad, but the Niners are worse to the tune of 17 points.
