Maybe right, but who else was on the phone with San Fran to get in front of Chicago? That we don't know.
The thing I think is stupid us what the Bears gave up to move up & that's not even taking into consideration the contract they gave to Glennon. Ugh

Time will tell my brother, if MT takes them to the promise land it will be lauded as a great move. If he is a bust, well then it's back to the drawing board. I applaud anybody with the nads to make a bold move.

BTW, Andy Reid was Brett Favre's OC at Green Bay. Mahome's was my fantasy 1st round pick. KC wasn't stupid to jump 17 spots for Mahomes. High risk for high reward doesn't come cheap.
You took a rookie QB in the first round of a fantasy draft?

they did the right choice if they really like the qb

reid knows his job very well, he knows what he can get by mahomes and all the picks traded are worth for a franchise qb

I'd put the Bears up there too. They gave away way too much to move up 1 spot for a 2nd round talent, especially when they just paid Glennon. Stupid use of resources.

The Browns, even though they salvaged it a bit with acquiring so many assets, really paid the price for talking too much. Everyone knew they wanted to trade up for Trubisky, so maybe that forced the Bears hand.

Rumor is that Packers traded back thinking they could still TJ Watt. They traded right out of getting their guy.

Seahawks traded out of getting some serious OL help, but maybe they are targeting secondary guys in round one and the ones they all liked were gone. They have a chance to dominate Day 2, but if Wilson is under siege again this year, their actions last night will haunt them.

And as much as I love to make fun of the 49ers, John Lynch basically just made a sequel to the movie 'Draft Day'. That was impressive, especially for a rook.

Glennon is on a one year rental. Most of his money is tied up in the latter years of the contract. And ya...Lynch made Baalke look like a buffoon with what he pulled yesterday. Bring Back Baalke!

Also, apparently Dallas let Jerruh run the pick again. He probably thought they were taking his dinner order. That was a reeeeeeeeach.

?

Charlton was viewed as a mid 1st rounder at times.
He is slow for the position. And I did not like his film at all. I never got why he was rated so high, other than a premium put on the position. I thought, maybe, he was appropriate in the 30-40 range, probably the back end of that.

A catchy nickname does wonders.

Did you watch many Michigan games this year? He certainly looked good every time I watched them.

They must like the guy. They did not give up all that much to get the guy they wanted. This is the Cutler anti toxin. Pace and Fox could lose their jobs on this one or not and 2 years will tell.

The contract they gave Glennon is not ugly.
