Aside from WV (who I think is a good football team) not really. When you're competition is mostly the CUSA, the MAC and some middling ACC teams it's not hard to win a lot of games. Big 12, SEC, PAC 10, and Big Televen all play each other mostly in the bowl games.
I dont blame you for saying that because obivously you dont watch football outside of the Big 12. I am not sure where you get the Big East's competition is usally MAC and CUSA teams. Are you talking about in Bowl games? Seems to me WVU beat up the BIG 12 represenative pretty bad last year. Year before that they beat the SEC winner in the Sugar Bowl.
How can you blast the Big East opponent in bowls when the Big 12's only wins were against below avaerge Big Ten teams in Minnesota and Northwestern. Oh and that big win by Nebraska against the "middling" ACC opponent Clemson.
You also failed to mention that ther Big East record against the SEC. The fact of the matter is that the Big East is the only (of 13) Division I college football conferences with a winning record against the Southeastern Conference (SEC).
I am not gonna say anymore about this, because some people get a sound bite into their head from 5 years ago (Big East doesnt deserve an automatic BCS bid) and run with it. I think if you watched the Big east you'd fine they are a deep conference with a lot of talent.
