No 1-3 NFL team has made the playoffs since the 2008 Vikes. You have to go back to the 2004 Pack to find a 1-4 team. Let's hope it doesn't come to this but Cincy started 1-6 in 1970 and made the playoffs. This team is better than its played. It will be a team of destiny, but it's made an open question of what that destiny is.

pretty sure everyone was expecting this team to be 3-0 right now... I was... they need to get it together...way too much talent to be fighting for a wild card slot...

however,...maybe fighting for a wild card is what it is going to take for these knotheads to get their collective shyte together.

Chiefs started 1-5 just last season & still made it to the playoffs btw.

Seattle lost 4 of their first 6 and still made it to the playoffs with a 10-6 record last year.

What worries me is whether our coaches are as savvy as they need to be with today's NFL. Belichick certainly sets the standard. He studies a teams players and tendencies and designs strategies to deal with them. Ryan really did the same thing last week. We hear that BA scripts the first 30 offensive plays. Is that a good idea? In doing so he must be making some assumptions about the defense the other team will be using. But what if they use different schemes? Maybe its best to be more flexible and call plays to match the other team's defense. Maybe scripting has something to do with the Cardinals not scoring in the first quarter of the three games this year.

I agree hate the scripting, if we got off to fast starts I would say stick with it. Problem is we look terrible during this scripted times and think the staff really needs to reevaluate it.

I'm fairly certain EVERY NFL team scripts their first 15 to 30 plays on offense. IIRC it started with Bill Walsh and it seemed to work pretty well for us last year and the year before that.

I get we are trying to figure out why the Offense has struggled this year in the 1st QTR but scripting plays isn't the culprit.

IMO it is the number of plays... BA says 30...and that is a lot of plays, especially if they are not working. couple three and outs and those scripted plays may be the entire first half. IIRC most coaches script 10-15 plays then adapt to what the defense is doing.

Whatever. I would make a bet with you but you're only going to hide and watch after this one.

It's about winning the division which in fact we will do.

We got the black uni's too.

But aren't most of the 3 and outs due to dropped balls and bad reads.

I already have a bet, so I would have had to decline anyway.

often they are... but so far the 2016 Cardinals have come up with some pretty creative ways to go three and out.

even last season the scripting did not really work well, we always started flat...then came out like gangbusters in the second half.
IMO BA should script no more than a dozen plays,...then actually "coach" or "Manage" the rest of the game by calling plays based on what the opponent is showing you.
