The clock is now ticking very rapidly on the coaching career of Dave McGinnis and his staff. There is no way he can return next season unless he can pull off a winning record or at the very worst an 8-8 campaign.

It's too early to start the fire the coach mantra, but this team is not a playoff team and Bidwill and Graves will naturally look to the coaching staff if the team doesn't move towards .500 mark or above. The sand is moving very quickly through the hourglass!

I am getting sick of Sound-Bites and Crappy Coaching

And I am a guy that "RAH-RAH" works on.

BUT...let me put it this way...there is PLEANTY for the coaching staff to step to the plate on coming out of that game.

Mac may be a media-darling, but I am running out of cool-aid here.

When is the last game we won that you could point to the coaching and say "game-ball" here.

In fact, I seem to remember more "out-coached again" feelings than not.

OK. That being said, first game with a LOT of new faces. But unless Mac wants to see a new one on the head coach, he better start looking like he taking care of HIS business too.

I would send Graves out the same door with McGinnins. He is the guy that put this team together not McGinnis.

Isn't this Graves first year at the GM helm? As I said in an earlier post, even just looking at yesterday's loss, most of his additions (and subtractions) to the team made some healthy contributions.

I think we need more than 6 months to evaluate a new GM

I don't know about that. Most of the mistakes in Sunday's game seemed to stem from lack-of-preparation, playing-scared, and poor strategizing. Those are not talent-related problems, that's coaching. Like with Jake, the media is quick to not the "lack of talent" in Arizona, but it fact is that the Cards have been out-coached since Mac has been in the head-coaching seat.

I never remember saying "these guys don't look ready to play" when Tobin was in charge. I say that a lot with Mac. I look at this team right now, and I see the talent for a 7-9 team, maybe. Definately a team good enough to beat the Lions, if not dominate them. Instead, this team was handed a double-digit loss. That's coaching.

Maybe Dennis Green, or Jimmy Johnson? Larry Coker from Miami or ooh, ohh, i know, I know, maybe Get Rick Nuheisal...yeah yeah.

That would really turn this franchise around wouldn't it?

Tom Coughlin would whip this team into shape right quick. That's who I would want.

Unfortunately, the way the Cards have made personnel moves, they'd probably promote Larry Marmie.

No coach of any "Name" would come to AZ. Thats the facts! End-of-discussion!

I don't know. I think that if we offered competitive salary (Mac makes the least of any coach in the NFL, I belive) to coaches, we'd be more competitive in hiring. For the salaries that we pay coaches, it's no wonder that we don't get anyone of value. It's like we expect coaches to take a discount to work for the Bidwill's and the Cardinals.
