saw this again. Still love it. Love it even more now. I really liked being able to not have to listen to the dialogue and just waiting for the cool parts.

Question: How in the worlds can you bring to girls under the age of 10 to this movie? How can you not make them shut it until 30 minutes are left in the movie?

Why did people next to me, both times I saw it, think it was okay to talk during the movie?

"He is Two-Face! See he has the coin. Two-face has the coin." Idiot, I am pretty sure your girlfriend doesn't care.

I felt HORRIBLE for bringing my 9 year old. I had no idea it would be as graphic as it was. She was quiet, though. Just spent a lot of the movie with her head buried in her sister's arm. :(

Downey Disses 'Dark Knight'
"My whole thing is that I saw 'The Dark Knight'. I feel like I'm dumb because I feel like I don't get how many things that are so smart. It's like a Ferrari engine of storytelling and script writing and I'm like, 'That's not my idea of what I want to see in a movie.' I loved 'The Prestige' but didn't understand 'The Dark Knight'. Didn't get it, still can't tell you what happened in the movie, what happened to the character and in the end they need him to be a bad guy. I'm like, 'I get it. This is so high brow and so [expletive] smart, I clearly need a college education to understand this movie.' You know what? [Expletive] DC comics. That's all I have to say and that's where I'm really coming from."

Seems strange he would disparage another film in the exact same (and very small) genre.

Maybe he's taking the Marvel/DC rivalry to heart.

That's what it sounds like from the last line of the quote. Still makes him look like a tool though.

According to Video Business, Warner Home Video's The Dark Knight is expected to ship more than 1 million Blu-ray Disc units to retail for its Dec. 9 street date, which is believed to be a first for the format.

Earlier in the quarter, Paramount Home Entertainment said its Iron Man sold 500,000 Blu-ray copies in its first week on shelves, but it's unclear how many units the studio shipped.

For much of the past year, Blu-ray copies averaged 5% to 10% of a title's sales. Recent features, including Warner's Speed Racer and Journey to the Center of the Earth reached more than 10%, and Universal Studios Home Entertainment's The Incredible Hulk hit more than 14%.

Iron Man's Blu-ray version represented as much as 30% of sales at some retailers, though overall it was closer to 10%.

Joker...uhm...wow...scary. Beautifully shot and so well done all around. Great, great, great movie.

I loved the ending.

yeah, as much as I was blown away by this movie, I continue to be blown away by it with each successive viewing. Ledger is without a doubt the greatest villain of the modern era and the choices made were so daring and jarring and... just flat out great across the board that this movie is just an absolute all-time classic IMO.

Congrats to Heath Ledger for winning the Golden Globe. Heath was fantastic. Deserved the Golden Globe for Best supporting actor. Heath better get the Oscar as well. As stated above, greatest villain in film...ever.

I just picked up this movie on Blu ray and watched it again. The music in the backround (it's a suttle note) whenever the Joker is about to do something...simply is the most eerie thing.

Great movie.

Great movie.

I got the Bluray about 10 days ago and have been itching to watch it again. Unfortunately that means that it has to be a weekend. (Linda sleeps in the afternoon so I can't watch it then. There's no way that I am watching this movie until I can listen to it as loud as possible. Plus, I have small children that can't watch this yet. So that pretty much makes my times to watch this movie pretty small.) I'm going to try and squeeze it in this weekend.

Listening to it loud is a must. I am telling....when you watch it on Blu Ray listen for what I call the "Joker Note". It is the most eerie thing to listen to and just adds to Heath's brilliant performance.

I am the same way though. Have only a window with certain movies becuase of wife and kids. Actually found a window while on vacation and watched both Batman Begins and Dark Knight on my new Blu Ray player.

I'll listen for it.

Linda thinks I am insane. I have a 15" subwoofer that makes parts of my house rattle that I didn't know could. I want to get another one. :)

What player did you get btw?

I have a 12" JBL Studio Series that does the same thing. lol. Drives my wife nuts.

I ended up getting the Panasonic DMP-35. I must have read about 25 reviews over X-mas break. My wife was going to buy me a Blu Ray. So, I had to decide between the PS3, the Panny or this Sony - standalone (with the Panny earning the highest in video performance). All having BD Live support, etc etc....

Went shopping on black friday and Best Buy had the Panny for $100 off. Couldn't pass it up. Plus I had read multiple raving reviews about it having some of the best video performance money can buy.

It's a win win. Except for my wallet. I have been buying Blu Ray movies here and there since X-Mas.

?

You guys have to got watch the special features where they discuss and show what that noise is and how many samples they went through before selecting that noise.

I only think dcr is crazy for wanting a 2nd one. The first one is freaking awesome, and some movies just aren't the same w/o it.

I did see that. What they started out with and ended up with was completley different. Simplicity of having that one note and how eerie it became was simply brilliant.
