As a dad of two, I like Baxter. When I took my daughter to games, the names on the field meant little to her at the time, but she always wanted to go to see Baxter.. Eventually, she learned and began to like some of the Diamondback players as a result, and as she grew to understand what was going on. I suspect, my 11 month old son will be the same. I also liked the Bobcat was a play on the park name, even though BOB is no longer the officially named sponsor of the park.

The luchador? Eh. I don't think he's going to be around long anyhow. Probably just long enough for the mask giveaway day..
