Just read a statememt by wilks
Bradford is short term starter and hopefully long term
If they draft a qb he will sit

I dont like the "if"...still ignoring the problem and still wondering their meaning of the aggressive word

I think they are doing their best to build a smoke screen. Every QB in this draft barring extreme circumstances will sit their rookie year. If Keim hopes to remain GM he should be taking a QBOTF this year. He really put pressure on himself by not filling more holes in FA.

What I think it will come down to is whether the Cardinals like Lamar Jackson enough to take him at 15, which I would do in a second, BTW.

Or if Mason Rudolph falls to the 2nd round.

Darnold, Rosen, Allen, and Mayfield will be gone by #15.

Other than that? I am hope Denzel Ward falls for some crazy reason.

They WILL draft a quarterback. Only question is whether it is in first or second (or later) round.

If the opportunity arises to draft a QB they like or a trade happens to move into the top 4 or 5 Im sure Keim would probably do it. Nobody will know until draft day and that includes Keim & wilks. What Wilks said in that statement was pretty straight forward common sense.

There is no smokescreen, Cardinals always telegraph the draft, they have no WRS, 1` cb, no FB , in need of O line depth, they will not be moving up or taking a QB early. They don't have the full roster to sacrafice picks

My thoughts exactly. I would just add Vita along with Ward.

I think we'll take a shot in the first or second.

I'm starting to get the gut instinct that Rosen will slip (probably not all the way to 15, but slip). No one seems enamored with him. I'd also personally pull the trigger on Lamar Jackson.

If we don't go that way in the first, I think a 2nd round QB is happening. A 3rd at worst. This draft is too deep for us to not take an early-ish shot and think the guy may potentially form into what we want.

Vita Vea is a good one. I also like Tremaine Edmunds, but it would be like picking Haason Reddick all over again, good linebacker with no real position yet.

I you think about it, there could be 4 QBs taken, and someone will take Barkley, and another Chubb.

At that point you are talking about making a list of 9 players, and one of them will be there at #15.

Nelson Barkley Edmunds Chubb Ward are top 10 picks

The list of players going from 10 to 15
Fitzpatrick
Vea
McGinley
Derwyn James
Lamar Jackson
Davenport
Rudolph
Ridley
Roquan Smith

Im coming around to the fact that, unless one of the QBs has an Aaron Rodgers-type slide, we're not taking a QB nor trading up in this draft.

If Lamar Jackson and Mason Rudolph is off the board at 15, it will be a relief to know Cards dodged a bullet and two good non-QB players slided down

Fair enough, and I will play along

1. Darnold
2. Allen
3. Rosen
4. Mayfield
5. Barkley
6. Nelson
7. Edmunds
8. Chubb
9. Ward
-------------
10. Fitzpatrick
11. James
12. Vita Vea
13. Calvin Ridley

From there, I would say that is where things are "less certain", and I could easily put Ridley in the less certain group, since I have seen/heard/read a few places where Ridley is a 2nd round pick.

- Davenport
- Landry
- Rudolph
- McGlinley
- Jackson

Have all been up and down in the 1st round and sometimes even in the 2nd.

Going back to the 13 players listed above, I would not rule out a team reaching for a tackle, and/or cornerback.

If the Cardinals had to choose between Fitzpatrick, James, Vea, and Ridley, I would not be complaining.

There are 10 that I would be shocked to see fall to #15:

1. QB Darnold
2. QB Allen
3. QB Rosen
4. QB Mayfield
5. DE Chubb
6. RB Barkely
7. CB Ward
8. OG Nelson
9. LB Edmunds
10.DB Fitzpatrick

More likely than not I feel the next three will go before us:

11. An ILB either R. Smith or R Evans
12. A DT Vea or Payne
13. S D. James

These players could go anywhere from 10-25. I have seen all of these players frequently mocked before our pick. Rarely have a seen any players not listed mocked before though.

14. LB Smith/Evans
15. Vea/Payne
16. OT McGlinchey
17. OT C Williams
18. CB J Jackson
19. Edge Landry
20. WR Ridley
21. Edge Davenport

If none of the top 10 fall, I would strongly consider QB L Jackson, OC Daniels, OG I Wynn, CB M Hughes and Alexander as well as whats available above.

So as you can see... I have no clue what's going to happen at 15. And this isn't even considering trades... Ugh!!!

Good listing. I always look two-three guys above and below where the Cards are drafting to make my usually incorrect guess as to who they will pick.

I'd like to see Vita Vea at 15. We are going to have to keep the other team from scoring while our O learns the playbook and new WRs and OL learn to play together. Need a D that is going to keep the game within DJ breaking a long one and a FG to win it.

LOL.

Good to know I am the only one......and it only gets worse as the draft goes on. The Kevin Minter pick was hard to watch happen the day it happened.

Like everyone else, I would love for the Cards to get a QBOTF. But if one isn't there at 15, I want them to focus on creating a dominant D and run game. Vita would be a great start for the D. He can add a physical dimension and attitude!

Edited, but I'll jut say no GM or coach tells the truth at this time of the year.

Yeah, pretty much my thoughts too. I've said before that I think there are 6 potential first round QBs in this draft with Rudolph and Jackson the most likely options for the Cards. Sure, I'd like for them to trade up, but Keim doesn't have the resources to do it and honestly, if they're going to try to trade up they might as well go big and try for Darnold. The odds of that happening are very slim though.

Beyond a QB, Vea would be a solid pick or a WR, but it's hard to trust Keim with a first round pick anyways.
