The Disastrous ASU HC Search

I know that there is a very long thread on the coach search but I think it needs special attention and a thread of its own. This whole search for a new coach has been poorly handled, unprofessional and a farce. Why do some of these people even have jobs?? ASU has become a laughing stock in the sports world. Why would anyone want to come and work for AD Lisa Love.
The 2012 Recruiting class was considered top 25 , do we really think many will stay??

This is an embarrassing situation for ASU.

Most of us have been saying they should have fired Lisa Love first, then Dennis.

There wasn't even a press conference regarding his dismissal which everyone thought was odd.

To my amazement, many of the recruits have came out and said they will remain committed despite DE being canned. Also, ASU got a 3* MLB today so hopefully potential recruits have not closed the door quite yet. We will lose some more unless ASU hits a home run and fast. Right now if boosters are pissed about JJ being considered they should pony up the dough and get Sumlin who is still in play if you believe the rumors. I know many on the board are critics but really who else is there, now?

I hope not as AD. Lisa Love has failed in two major hires already in Erickson and Sendek. Let's face it, Lisa Love should have been reassigned or replaced before ASU fired Erickson. IMO, Love is the problem and Erickson and Sendek are just symptoms of the problem.

And she let Pat Murphy run the baseball program into sanction-city.

And then there was the whole wrestling debacle in 2008.

The woman has no backbone, and clearly has no eye for talent. She'd rather whitewash her poor decisions with a new logo and font, hoping educated fans wouldn't remember all her screw-ups.

How funny is this now? Everyone at ASU except for Lisa Love realizes Sendek isn't the answer yet she gives him a 2 year extension. One that was unnecessary since he was already signed through 2014.

I guess this was Lisa Love putting her foot down. It seems like ASU basketball is being written off as a money maker.

Lisa Love used to join Gambo and Ash on KTAR and it was clear that not only did she know nothing about sports, she doesn't even follow ASU sports. They would constantly bring up players names like; "So lisa what do you think of Burfict?" or "So how bout James Harden?" and it would be dead air for a few seconds while she pulled their stat sheet then she would say something generic like; "Oh yes, I think Harden is playing very well for our mens basketball team, he's averaging....." She needs to go.
