I remember that one of the tenets of the TV show was that McCall refused to kill anyone, ever.

I guess the writers missed that when researching for this film.

Yes, he killed quite a few people, but he never used a single gun. Not one (well, not a gun that shot bullets, anyway)

I never watched the TV show.. I was too busy trying to get out the house as a kid.. But this movie kicked ass..

Rented it last night and it was good. Denzel did another great job (as always). He is a badass in it. I liked it. Took a bit to get into the action, but action scenes were sweet- some parts unrealistic, but doesn't matter to me. I'm all about the action
