Looking forward to the game, probably going to make it down to AZ for it as well. I was hoping for both Boise and TCU to get a shot at BCS schools. Makes you wonder if they put us together to keep that from happening?

Should be a good game. I think TCU is one of the tougher teams in the country right now, and probably the best opponent we could have. I would have liked to see TCU rip florida, or us play Iowa and beat them. It will be a good game for Boise to see how we fare against them. I think from a football standpoint, we can prove a lot by beating TCU, but maybe not as much from a national perspective.

What do you guys think about the match up and the BCS making this one happen?

I look at it this way. The committee matched TCU against Boise State to save themselves embarrassment. Suppose either of those 2 teams, or both, beat major conference BCS schools. That would set a precedent for consideration in the future that they don't want to deal with. That would be that the BCS system is biased and unfair and not the answer to a playoff system.

Should be a FUN game to watch! Personally, I would have loved to have seen TCU up against Bama... oh well.
I hear an interview with John Junker (Fiesta Bowl Chairman) the other day. He's a great guy and always gives a great interview. In short, he summed it up by saying that not taking these two teams would have been an insult to both schools, and would have furthered the notion that Non Auto-BCS eligible schools really don't have a chance to play in the spotlight... He felt he owed it to both schools to give them the recognition they both clearly earned. Of course, he reflected back to the Boise St - Oklahoma Fiesta Bowl that went down as one of the greatest Fiesta Bowls ever played. He has an affinity for Boise St for sure.
