We've got too many roster holes to fill to be monkeying around too much with trading tactics.

Actually, our biggest problem is that we have too low a "batting average" uncovering genuine talent who are guaranteed to help us.

One possible factor working in our favor - weakness at one roster position negatively impacting execution at another position (Read the piece on Kirk's impact in azcardinals.com). If the the writer of the article is correct, the implication is that we may be able to solve more than one big problem by just plugging one key roster hole. Should this be true, I'd rather that we build via the high draft picks we already have.

Honestly, I'd try to trade down a few spots and take White. He is that sideline to sideline LB that this team needs. Or I would trade down to the middle of round one and grab a receiver.
If the Cards could come out of the draft with Devin White, a Wr like Brown from ole miss, and Irv Smith at TE, it would be fantastic.

Then add some interior Ol thru free agency.
