Shut it uppie, you! And go buy a suit, damn it.

Honestly if I needed one I would. Problem is I dont really have an occasion to ever wear one. So why waste the money? But maybe I should since thats whats wrong with America today?

His "motive" was to create a book as an answer to Narnia. That's all. You make it seem like he's trying to poison your children against you.

He's trying to poison them against God. He has said as much.

What if I was Hindu...should I be up in arms about Aslan being in a book that my kid might be drawn to?

Aslan is a positive figure in a fantasy series written by a Christian author. Most never see it as anything but fantasy. It is not overtly religious.

BTW, have you read the books yet?

Nope.

I finished the second book in the series last night and just started the third and I have to say that the author's agenda is blantant and obvious in the second book and can only get more pronounced in the third.

I've read the first book so far and really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to seeing the movie.

Anyone who has a problem with this movie should also denounce the Harry Potter series.

this movie was horrendous. it's taken me two days to try and get through it. I can't believe New Line wagered it's entire company to make this movie.

My wife and I quite enjoyed the movie. We found the children in this movie much more endearing than the Narnia kids, and some of the characters (polar bear, witches) were as good or better than the Narnia ones.

Could one see the allegory with the Catholic church (especially in relation to the crusades)? Sure, but so what. The church deserves to get beat up over the crusades. But it was not an anti-Christian film by any stretch of the imagination. The story was decent with excellent special effects (and didn't over-do them in number like Narnia did).

I find it amusing that the film did so well overseas. Worldwide, the film did over 364 million dollars, better than films like Ocean's 13, American Gangster, Beowulf, Knocked Up and Juno. It finished only slightly behind Live Free or Die Hard.

Maybe people in other parts of the world are a little more secure in their beliefs? Whatever.... I give it 3.5 out of 5 stars and we're looking forward to "The Subtle Knife."

Agreed and it took me 2 days to try and get through it as well. The kids in the movie were just plain old bad.

The only thing I like in the movie was the animals, but that was not enough to save the horrid script, acting, and just overall boring as hell plot.

The way they watered down the story and messed with the sequence of events completely ruined the movie for me.

As for "The Subtle Knife" the way they watered down the tame book in the series I am dreading what they will do with this one.
