The lemur gives Peyton Manning a stern look of disapproval for NOT choosing the cards...

I agree with the OP....This does smell. Peyton said publically he would do a fair contract and base it on incentives...Now it comes out he wants almost to be the richest player in Football. I don't think the Cardinals knew he wanted to get 60-80 million over 4-5 years. 2nd..Why even come here....I mean WE HAVE PROVEN WITHOUT A SHADOW OF DOUBT ...we will adjust to the QB...We Have proven we can win with a good QB..we have proven we can win big games...Of all the damn teams on his list...we are the only team to make the SUper Bowl in the last 10 years!!!! We beat the Packers a year after the SUper Bowl when the Packers were as good as they were when they won the SB. We have arguably the best WR to play in the last 15 years..and he has proven to be a student of the game. We have a dome, sell out crowds and a players coach that will let players play to their strengths.

Peyton has turned into Lebron 2 except he won't conjure up a network to ask him stupid questions on where he is going.

How did Denver of all places impress him. Because Elway can talk football jargon??? Big damn deal. Denver is a joke of a team with no weapons who had Tebo with his perfect attitude and compassionate heart lift bad players to play above their heads. Their defense beat bad offensive teams the last half of the season...and the 2 teams with decent offenses..NE and Buff each put 40+ points on them.

San Fran is not a Manning away from the Super Bowl. They beat the Saints because A Smith could move...he runs deceivingly well and manages the game. San Fran lost because their punter can't catch the ball. Green Bay was 14-0 and BY far the most talented team in football and they didn't win a playoff game. Rodgers played statistically better than Manning has ever played except maybe 1 year, and Rodgers has MUCH better weapons, no matter where Manning goes. And yet they didn't win a playoff game.

Manning looks good and probably throws just fine right now...But NO one knows how well his neck will handle a blind side hit from a 280-300 lb man. Travis Ford had a similar injury and surgeries in the NBA...and he had to retire.

Manning is handling this like Tiger Woods handled his porn star women. With secret texts and secret rondevous where people are thinking completely different then what is actually happening.

I know some say...Hey he did nothing wrong. I say...you know what. I am pissed...and he did it. You can't make me feel better by saying anything. I think he is a punk...I liar and much more of a scumbag then people think. He is like his father. Their family thinks they are OWED something. No different then ELI refusing to play at San Diego. Archie smiling in the back ground saying MY SON plays where I say he plays. BS....The family is a pompous overrated piece of garbage. I hope the first snap of the new season...he steps back to make a throw..and poof....Instant retirement.

My opinion, my belief and I don't care what you think about it.

I agree with the OP.

The Cards better draft the best pass rusher on the board in round 1.

He did? I thought that was speculation or it came from unnamed sources but maybe I missed something.

I say we go after Saturday and D CLark.

over pay for these guys and then sit back and laugh. They are good anyway...I mean Saturday will improve our line instantly. Then watch Manning cry..because his new team will have no familiar faces.

Now, see, that's a sentiment I can get behind. I'm just competitively vindictive enough that I'd love to teach him in a Super Bowl just why he should have chosen the Cards. But, I don't fault him for the way he's handled this nor do I hate him for whatever his decision ultimately turns out to be.

Steve

Stop making me love you, lol.

Yep, signing over the hill, past their prime keys is definitely the key to success. It's worked so well in the past!

Had an interesting thought today...

What if he's not debating on where he wants to play, but, rather, if he wants to play. It does seem odd that he is taking this long to make a decision he knew he would have to make for several months now. I know he couldn't talk to teams while he was still a member of the Colts, but he could still evaluate all of the teams strengths and weaknesses.

It would be interesting if his final decision was...retirement.

Yeah, I have something mean to say: grow the f up an stop acting like a jilted girlfriend. So Manning didn't pick AZ--he didn't do it to be mean.

Ill start this by saying i pretty much agree with most of what you say, but i have seen statememts of this like from you for the past month now amd really im over you telling people to quit acting jilted girlfriends and pretty much telling others how to react. We get you are cool as a cucumber and never thought the Cardinals were going to get him anyway and that good OL Peyton is just going through the due process blah blah blah.

Your emotional disconnect from the situation is your own.

I don't give a F--- about Peyton and his right to do what he wants and go thought the process and all that crap. He essentially just told us thanks but no thanks. Maybe you can reconcile with that fact and it doesn't bother you.

But it pisses me off and I hope someone goes Bane on him next year.

Doesn't have to be logical. It's sports. And right now with him looking likely to go to our bitter rivals its still raw and if i want to tell him he can go screw himself, Im going to do and think what I damn well please.
