I agree with the OP....This does smell. Peyton said publically he would do a fair contract and base it on incentives...Now it comes out he wants almost to be the richest player in Football. I don't think the Cardinals knew he wanted to get 60-80 million over 4-5 years. 2nd..Why even come here....I mean WE HAVE PROVEN WITHOUT A SHADOW OF DOUBT ...we will adjust to the QB...We Have proven we can win with a good QB..we have proven we can win big games...Of all the damn teams on his list...we are the only team to make the SUper Bowl in the last 10 years!!!! We beat the Packers a year after the SUper Bowl when the Packers were as good as they were when they won the SB. We have arguably the best WR to play in the last 15 years..and he has proven to be a student of the game. We have a dome, sell out crowds and a players coach that will let players play to their strengths.
Now, see, that's a sentiment I can get behind. I'm just competitively vindictive enough that I'd love to teach him in a Super Bowl just why he should have chosen the Cards. But, I don't fault him for the way he's handled this nor do I hate him for whatever his decision ultimately turns out to be.
Steve
over pay for these guys and then sit back and laugh. They are good anyway...I mean Saturday will improve our line instantly. Then watch Manning cry..because his new team will have no familiar faces.
The Cards better draft the best pass rusher on the board in round 1.

Yep, signing over the hill, past their prime keys is definitely the key to success. It's worked so well in the past!
yamonOr sign Wimbley, and draft the best player available at 13.
Yeah, I have something mean to say: grow the f up an stop acting like a jilted girlfriend. So Manning didn't pick AZ--he didn't do it to be mean.
Ill start this by saying i pretty much agree with most of what you say, but i have seen statememts of this like from you for the past month now amd really im over you telling people to quit acting jilted girlfriends and pretty much telling others how to react. We get you are cool as a cucumber and never thought the Cardinals were going to get him anyway and that good OL Peyton is just going through the due process blah blah blah.
Your emotional disconnect from the situation is your own.
I don't give a F--- about Peyton and his right to do what he wants and go thought the process and all that crap. He essentially just told us thanks but no thanks. Maybe you can reconcile with that fact and it doesn't bother you.
But it pisses me off and I hope someone goes Bane on him next year.
Doesn't have to be logical. It's sports. And right now with him looking likely to go to our bitter rivals its still raw and if i want to tell him he can go screw himself, Im going to do and think what I damn well please.
