The first time it may happen is in 2029 since Jackie Slater's son just retired.

Matthew Slater retires after 16 seasons. Will he join father Jackie in Hall of Fame?

Matthew Slater was a game changer in the NFL.

He could be one in retirement as well.

The former Servite and UCLA standout announced his retirement Tuesday after 16 seasons, all with the New England Patriots. During his time in Foxborough, Mass., Slater won three Super Bowls and was selected to 10 Pro Bowls, more than any special teams player in league history.

“In 2008, I came here as a young man with hopes and dreams,” Slater said in a statement released by the Patriots. “In 2024, I can retire knowing this experience has exceeded any hope or dream I ever had.”

Slater’s father, Jackie Slater, played 20 years in the NFL as an offensive lineman with the Rams. Jackie was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2001.

Matthew Slater won’t be eligible to join his father in Canton, Ohio, until 2029. If that happens, the Slaters will be the first father-son duo to be inducted as players. The younger Slater also would make history as the first player who primarily served as a gunner to make the Hall of Fame.

I can't tell if it's real anymore but apparently Deion said he wants to attend the first meeting Shedeur has with the Browns. If True talk about not reading the room
Josh Pate actually spoke about this on his college show because so many people were asking him about Shedeur. He said he had NFL people telling him that some teams actually had more questions about Shedeur being away from Deion and rather have Deion around if they were to get him.

Not gonna lie, I thought Sheduer would have been a good option in round 4 or 5 for AZ. Nothing but upside IMO.
Deion was on a pre-draft talk show saying there were a few teams he did not want to draft Shedeur. I wondered to myself if we were on that list. LOL

I’m not the conspiracy type and I didn’t have time to see if someone else posted this. However, as bizarre as it sounds, I heard there was a gentlemen’s agreement that other teams would allow Sanders to go to Cleveland on Day 3.

That would be incredibly dangerous if so. That’s anti-trust collusion lawsuit waiting to happen.

“I’m telling you right now, and I know this after talking to three different personnel people in the NFL this weekend, they didn’t even have him on their board. They took him off, and they took him off because the owner said, ‘Take him off, I don’t want that guy. I don’t want this . . . entitled person on our team,’ and I don’t blame them.”

Agreement between who? Why would other teams want him to go to Cleveland?

Happened to play golf yesterday with Marcus Allen(he was buy himself and I asked him to join our 3some before I knew it was him) and he was talking about Shedur.
Said he’d never let his son act like that and couldn’t believe he was dancing around celebrating being taken in round 5.

Marcus, incredibly nice guy btw, said he was drafted 10th overall and was mad he went 10th because 2RBs went in front of him. He said I knew I was better than those guys, Gerald Riggs and Darrin Nelson, and couldn’t imagine being anything but pissed off going in round 5.

Marcus is my all time favorite player. My middle name is Allen...I was gonna name my first son Marcus Allen Long...wife was fine with it until she realized it was Marcus Allen...she was a Broncos fan.
should have divorced her sooner
