Outstanding movie. Ryan Gosling stole the show. Between this and Drive it has been a hell of a summer for Gosling.

Just rented this last night and thought it was excellent. One of the best films I've seen this year. Great cast but Gosling was definitely the star and did excellent work. Giamatti was great as always, as was Hoffman.

Quick run time also. It wasn't much longer than 1 1/2 hours.

To me Ides was just a knock off of the movie about the Clinton campaign a few years ago. OK film but appeared to be mainly a vehicle to push the Democratic Agenda.

Giamatti and Hoffman are almost always entertaining. Great to see these classic character actors work.

I think it was near perfect casting. While I think the actual film was good and not great, I don't think the acting could have possibly been any better.
