google searched for dunk on lebron and almost all said his name in the article. He was on countless morning shows, for a dunk that wasn't even on lebron. Dudes an attention *****.

You crazy. Garbage time?
game was over.
This is true. Part of the reason that Johnson had such a clear path to the basket was that the Rockets were (correctly) figuring that the Suns should be launching desperation threes.

I may be wrong but IIRC, the and-one after the dunk brought the Suns back to 8 points with 2mns to play or something like that. The game was pretty much over and the last nail in the coffin was an open Kenny Smith 3 pointer seconds later.

It was a meaningless play in a sad, sad game.
Game 3 was painful to watch because of that freaking Mad Max Maxwell shooting clinic. But I remember feeling that game 4 was the beginning of the end, with Majerle and Barkley choking again. The 93-95 era was definitely a heartbreaker. :bang:

game was over.
I wasn't in attendance but i was watching from home. I don't recall the score or game clock at this point. Not sure why everybody's starters appear to be in the game on both sides if it was truly garbage minutes.

Yes it was a very pathetic performance by the SUNS to get "clutched" by the Rockets two years in a row......having said that i don't see the need for anybody to put the spin on & downplay a great dunk unless your name is Debbie D.....or you feel the need to be "that guy."
I'm guessing its the latter.:mulli:

Keep guessing then. What I don't see the need for is a bunch of chest thumping over a play that serves more as a reminder of what could have been that what actually was. Sure, it a bottle, its an amazing dunk. But I dont want to remember that game, or those back to back years of heartbreak.

So, to recep. Ill grant you garbage time was a bad analogy, as that implies scrubs on floor and a 20 plus point lead. which wasnt the case. But for all intents and purposes that game was over, save for some sort of miracle, that we all knew wasnt going to happen. Thats not putting the spin on, thats actual history.

Secondly, dont ever accuse me of feeling the need to be something. You dont know me from Adam

Dont get yer panties in a wad. Youre the one who started in with the waah waah. I was just stating an opinion, based on the facts of the game. Sorry I hurt your feelings.

Don't flatter yourself.
Also i'm not into cyber-pissing contests or Good 'ole Boys gang tackling either Shutd.
I find message board ego's to be truly fraudulent(especially around the rest of this board).
I'll be fine.

Better to have dunked and lost than to never have dunked at all.

:stick:KJ's dunk was incredible and in a game. The dunk on His Highness was a summer game. Who cares except the kid who dunked?

At least KJ kept fighting and showed some spirit!

We all know the feeling of getting beat by a (possibly) better team in the playoffs... No need to go down that alley again, because hey! We're not in the playoffs any time soon!

All valid opinions, But he point of this thread was talking about some fantastic Suns moment. That isnt a fantastic moment for me. Again, its a great dunk, and Ive never stated otherwise, but again, a little levity and some perspective are all I brought to the table. Y'all keep on keepin on with this.

Labron got dunked on. who cares? Kevin Johnson destroyed Hakeem on a dunk that in the end, signified nothing. Again I say, who cares?

Its been so long since Ive actually tried to engage in a conversation in this forum, I forgot that opinions can no longer be expressed around here without someone having to prove they are wrong.
