Seems like analysts are making a big deal out of it. KM just hates losing, as Cards fans we know this. He was pissed, so were all of us. I actually like the fact that he paused for 18 seconds & gave the simplest answers, plus he didn't call anyone out. He bit his tongue. Speaking out against teammates & coaches in frustration after losses leads to a bad locker room. Imo, he was pissed about 3 things. 1. KK not trusting him to get that 1 yard on 4th & 1. 2. His fumble that led to a TD. 3. They lost a game they should've won. In 24 games so far as our QB, this is the first time during a press conference that I've seen KM answer questions this way. Yet a few analysts are now saying KM is all about himself & not the team. That is so far from the truth. He just wants to win. The only thing I'm worried about is his issues with Hopkins practice presence, or lack there of. Hopkins said recently that KM is the only QB that has ever yelled at him. What would KM be yelling at him for? Not practicing enough to run the right routes on plays called? We may never know. KK did say during his press conference there was some interesting conversations in the locker room after the game. Hopkins was seen kicking the yard marker in disgust after the game while heading to the locker room. Is Hopkins not running the right routes on plays? Is KM not throwing him the ball now because of his practice habits? I hope everything gets worked out if there is a problem, especially between those 2. I do know this, KM isn't all about himself, he just wants to win. I understand his frustration Sunday as do all of us. Go Cards, beat the Bills.

I actually didn't mind his presser at all, for me that shows a guy that hates losing. Especially when you put up 31 points and play your best game ever.

What I don't like is he sometimes get's like this on the sideline. In the limited sideline action we see it's not unusual to see him looking sulky when we are down.

I hope he let everyone know about it after the game. Kyler played his ass off and everyone else, coached especially, let him down.

I just think saying the team "let him down " is a bit too much. I know that game hurt the most so far this season because of what was on the line and how the team was trending but i didnt see anyone not busting their butts out there lasst sunday.

i just saw a team defense that couldnt stop a rookie qb and a kicker who cant kick in crunch time. Hopefully now that the team is healthy again almost 100% we can really see what they are capable of in the second half.

The Cardinals have a star on their hands now and he's becoming one of he faces of the league and not just the franchise. This is a guy who hates losing and people often cite how the Arizona media is not hard enough on the Cards, well having Kyler Murray does not give the Cards a free pass any longer for not winning. The whole team played their asses off but you can still give full effort and let someone down when you are simply not good enough, and some guys on this defense did let Kyler and the whole team down because they are not good enough
To hell with being PR with the media and fans when you clearly hate losing when also showing signs of not quitting :raccoon:

One thing about being a QB is you have to be steady under pressure. This includes between games and when things aren't going well. You also have to know what type of relationship you have with your teammates. These are grown men. Yelling to yell because you are frustrated doesn't always work with every team member. I am ok with Murray exploring this line as he is young and vets will let him know when he oversteps.

Frankly I’d say he’s right on all 3 points. KK had a mediocre game at best. The problem from a player’s POV is KK’s aggressive blows hot & cold. Players need to be able to anticipate how their coach will approach common situations. As for the fumble, hopefully this will be a springboard to better ball security and realizing when to throw the ball away. It’s one thing to be confident in your abilities. It’s quite another to ignore other people have abilities too. His ceiling is high but he needs to start climbing towards it if he wants to get there. This game was lost by KK’s performance and Murray’s fumble; both were avoidable. If this team wants to be a top team they must see improvement in both areas. As for creating a firestorm, this type of thing is typically much more smoke than fire.

I have a tough time with this. Absolving the defense of the ownership of this loss is incorrect. You can't give up 28 to a rookie QB, with a covid offseason, on the road, and in his second start. A quality NFL defense just does not do that.

Most of the time I’d agree with that but Tua didn’t look like a second game QB to me. He was outstanding throwing on the move. He made no reckless throws. He was a handful. He’ll play some bad games as rookies usually fo, but this wasn’t one of them. Add in the fact they played with one CB and their best rusher out for the season. I didn’t think the defense played a bad game but I expect the Fins to be a playoff team.

He looked when we blized him, expect for 1 blitz were 2 players wiffed on the sack and Tua having all day to throw nearly all game long till then boosting his confidence...

He should be pissed. He just played the best game of his life, and somehow his team still lost.
You know his fumble had a direct influence on the loss. I hope he was just as upset with himself.

Cardinals were up 31-24 in the 4th, the fumble is more a less an indirect factor at this point.

Cardinals had plenty of chances to win the game post fumble

I guess you can say that and feel better, but without the fumble and extra point, Cards win 31-27.

You can also say if the Cards don't concede 10 while scoring 0 in Q4 we win

Sure, that’s why it’s a team game. Every position and every play dictates the outcome.

No one play is more or less important than another, regardless of when it happens during the game.

Plays do not happen in a bubble. When someone cites points and inserts them later into a game devoid of everything which came afterwards is absolutely illogical. Yes, the fumble affected the score but the rest of the game would not stay stationary to use it to dictate everything which came afterwards which is pure commonsense

Or if Andy picks up the first down or Kliff doesnt call a timeout, etc we'd probably still had the lead on our 2nd possession in the 4th. Lots of self inflicted plays.

Man I fear that game coming back to bite us.

With KKs extreme moments of passive aggressiveness in play calling and having to play behind this defense, I think that his reaction is extremely tempered.

Actually that fumble changed everything that came after it.
It caused KK to start calling a game from a deficit instead of even or from a lead. Early bad plays affect the entire game from that point forward

You don't get the premise of my post. I am talking about it as a means to adjust the exact final score. Yes, of course it changes the outcome but also affects it where one cannot simply add or subtract points to the final score. If that play does not happen, the Cardinals probably have a better chance to win but I highly doubt the final would have been the same minus those points... you see what I am getting at :)
