Do you think that Eli regrets not wanting to play in San Diego?

Sure they still have a jerk like AJ Smith but they also have LDT, Merriman, and wonderful weather. The Giants are getting old and Tiki is gone.

Eli is WAY overrated. I know a lot of us in here (myself included) are all over Rolle for his play, but can you imagine being a Giants fan and this guy who was a #1 overall pick is your QB? YIKES!!!!! I can tell you I'm sure San Diego fans don't regret not having Eli.

Who cares. Eli sucks, honestly I think he is semi-******** and his family has been hiding it for years. Thank God McNown beat Minnisota. When that happened I was sick to my stomach for a month, now I am so thankfull.

I still believe that Rolle WILL be good in this league. It might not be at CB, but he will be good. Antrell seems to have the fire and the desire to be good. Eli has always seemed so "above" everything. Thinking he's the sh** and all. Sure Rolle has some of that, but thats just swagger. I agree whole heartedly that he sucks, but I think he has the ability... and Whis willing, he will be a stud.

It was a very selfish move on his part and his families part .. I lost all respect for him when he played that trump card .. let him suffer in New York ...

I feel the same way. I still like Peyton but lost all respect for Archie and Eli. It must be sweet jusitce for SD fans seeing Eli suck so bad. He's good for a third rounder, just awful for #1 overall. It's like buying a new BMW, but the thing is in the garage every month.

He deserves every bad thing (football-wise, anyway). He'd be much better off in SD without the scrutiny he gets in NY. Serves him right!

The Chargers wouldnt have Merriman if Eli stayed in SD.. Merriman was part of the Eli trade..

In one of my Pro Football Weeklys a scout was quoted as saying " Eli is so overrated it aint even funny. In fact we had him rated behind Rivers Roe and the Virginia kid. The only reason he went number one in the draft was cuz of his last name"

I agree, it was a non-class move and to be honest going to SD would of been my choice even then. Pairing up with LT can only help your career IMO.

Edit: They made out on not selecting Mike Vick too...ended up with LDT and Brees instead of Vick.

That was the move of the century. Too bad they gave up on Brees too soon and took Rivers.
