Meanwhile, Nash was having a "global chat" of a press conference in advance of his charity soccer game in New York Wednesday when he received a question about whether he would want to play for Toronto.

"This is a tough question for me," Nash said. "When you're in a situation (where) you've given a lot of you career to one franchise, you feel at home there. I feel a loyalty to my team, our community in Phoenix.

"I want us to try to get back and try to compete for a championship like we did two seasons ago so that's kind of all I think about. So I don't plan on leaving but obviously if the opportunity were ever there, where Phoenix were rebuilding or whatever happens,
Toronto would be an amazing place to play.

Steve Nash is delusional... how he can't see that we ARE rebuilding is beyond me... actually, it's not. NBA players have to think of themselves as better than they are and it's probably pretty tough to see the forrest from the trees, but someone should give him a wake-up call... when you go to the Conference Finals, then lose one of your two superstars, trade away other key pieces of the team and don't make the playoffs in one 12 month span, you bet your ass you're rebuilding.

So is babby. As an agent he is used to coddling star players. He has to become what he hated as an agent-a fo person who puts the team way ahead of any player.

It has to be cognitive dissonance. The mental gymnastics that tricks this group into thinking, well, if we didn't have these injuries, and we were so close a couple years back, and if we can just pick up a piece here or there...

Publicly, Nash says these things, but I think it's hard to believe that he says them in private.

Actually, Parker is someone I'd love to see in the Suns uniform. Don't care for Jefferson, and I would definitely not trade Dudley.

Agree with all of this. If we can get Parker for Nash, I'd do it in a second.

Right, my modified version of the trade is Nash/Lopez/Pietrus for Parker/Jefferson/#29, which I would do if Nash signed off on it.

I'd rather flip Parker for a higher pick. Also, I don't think that SA wants to get older by trading Parker.

Nash in a spurs uniform would be crazy. Not as bad as the lakers though.

As much as I hate the Spurs seeing Nash and Duncan take one last shot would be kind of cool. I know the Spurs are mad at Parker but I don't think Nash over Parker necessarily makes them a better team. They've won with defense.
