Now that we know the draft lottery order, it's time for a different trade thread....

SEA? Lewis is probably available, but it would probably take a 3rd team because they won't have a need for Marion. Durant will start from day one....

POR? Aldridge should be considered useless to them and they also have Outlaw and that SG that looks like Blair Underwood or Sergio Rodriguez. That would be a good compensation package for Marion and POR would LOVE a frontline of Marion-Randolph-Oden....

MEM? They get hosed and lose out on the big 2, but Marion would be great alongside Gay and, say, Horford. Gasol could be gone...

Ideas?

You'll get someone, just not nothing NEAR what you want.

Seattle should just keep Lewis, they should play him at the 4.

Wilcox
Lewis
Durant
Allen
Ridnour

That can be 50 win team with the right coach.

In case Portland takes Durant at #1.

Oden
Wilcox
Lewis
Allen
Ridnour

Again a 50 win team probably..

Why are you basing everything on the starting 5? But when it comes to the Suns, everything is based on the bench.

Does anyone think Portland's going to give up on Martell Webster? I know he's more of an SG, and with Roy tying down that position, Webster's not going to have much of a future as starter there.

I also think they take Durant. Call me crazy.

Thats not that scary to me I wish we could get martell webster or lamarcus aldridge

I'm telling you, Marion for Aldridge/Outlaw/Webster is a fair deal on all fronts and POR runs Jack-Roy-Marion-Randolph-Oden....

That is a great deal for both teams and it allows POR to draft the absolute best player instead of being forced to draft for need....

Sorry to quote my own post, but I would follow this trade up with Barbosa/Jones/Pike to CHA for Wallace/Felton....

Nash-Felton
Bell-Webster
Wallace-Outlaw
Stoudemire-Diaw
Aldridge-Thomas

D'Antoni has AT LEAST a 10-man rotation....

I can't believe I'm even thinking about this one, but defense/rebounding/depth are our 3 biggest needs along with shedding some salary. That being said, Chicago needs an interior player. I know I'm gonna get haized for this but hear me out.

Trade: AFTER JULY 1ST!!!

Chicago gets: Amare

Phoenix gets: Ty Thomas/or #9 pick, Chris Duhon (expiring), Sefalosha, Kryhapa (expiring)----(saves us $2.77 mil this year and drops another $5.77 mil next year--not counting KT)

Just with that it gives us a roster of: (Not counting draft picks)
Nash
Bell
Diaw
Marion
Ty Thomas (or #9 pick: Yi, Noah, Hawes)
Bench: Barbosa/Sefalosha/Duhon/KT/Kryhapa/Jones/Banks

That's 11 deep including Jones and EXCLUDING Banks. Now in the draft, package Banks/Jones/#24/#29 pick to move up into the 10-17 range to grab another BIG/Wing (My likes in this range: Hawes, Thornton, Green, Splitter, Smith, McRoberts).

That would give us a BIG and Fast Team. Plus it increases our rebounding and defense. It gives us the PG that we were trying to move up to get last year in Sefalosha. That would give us 3 great passers on the floor at times with Nash, Sefalosha and Diaw on the court at the same time.

Offensive Unit:
Nash/Barbosa/Marion/Ty Thomas or Yi (hopefully)/Sefalosha

Big Unit:
Sefalosha/Bell/Diaw/Marion/Ty or Yi/plus a big from the draft

Defensive Unit:
Duhon/Bell/Sefalosha/Marion/KT

No Thank You

That team has 0% chance of winning it.

A starting frontcourt of Diaw, Marion and Thomas. That trade would make me quit basketball immediately. Thomas and Sefolosha haven't impressed me one bit, neither looks like he can be an allstar.

Here's one from some other board. I believe this one would have wait for some months due to Boris' contract.

question though would be with Phoenix out of the lotto, which team is gona take a shot on Yi Jianlian? personally, i would still want him to become a sun. so im hoping he drops to 6, realistic draft number, gets taken by milwaukee and gets dealt with dan gadzuric for boris diaw and the 24th pick. the deal may not lay out heavily for either team, but it does adress team issues:

Phoenix saves some money and gets a young prospect to pair up with amare and leandro for the future. Shedding about 4 million Milwaukee, gets a 5th starter who can complement each player in the starting 5 of the bucks. some might say bobby simmons is comming back, but i prefer what boris brings to the table when i already have guys like michael redd, charlie villanueva, and looking to resign Mo williams as my starting point guard. They loose Dan Gadzuric who they realy havent played much since giving him that long term deal, and get a late pick in a still deep draft.

Maybe Ainge would give up the #5 for Marion. Then the Suns can take Noah like everybody at ESPN seems to think they are dying to do.

Not that I'm advocating it just contributing. IMO the Suns should put everything they've got into next season, it might be their last chance for a while.
