Imagine the "championship" changes from game-to-game. So it passes from team-to-team within a season.

Starting with the Green Bay Packers who won Super Bowl 1 the championship belt is passed on a game by game basis. If a team wins the Super Bowl and has the belt they hold it through the offseason. If a team is on a bye and have the belt they retain it through the bye week.

It is totally meaningless but fun nonetheless.
