Tommy Boy

Tommy Callahan Jr. is a slow-witted, clumsy guy who recently graduated college after attending for seven years. His father, Big Tom Callahan, owns an auto parts factory in Ohio. When Tommy arrives back home, he finds he has a position at the factory waiting for him. His dad also introduces Tommy to the new brake pad division of the factory and to Tommy's soon-to-be stepmother, Beverly, and her son Paul. But when Big Tom dies, the factory threatens to go under unless the new brake pads are to be sold. Therefore, Tommy must go on the road to sell them, along with the assistance of Richard, Big Tom's right-hand man. Will Tommy save the company, or will the factory, and the town, go under?

vs.

Ghostbusters

Three odd-ball scientists get kicked out of their cushy positions at a university in New York City where they studied the occult. They decide to set up shop in an old firehouse and become Ghostbusters, trapping pesky ghosts, spirits, haunts, and poltergeists for money. They wise-crack their way through the city, and stumble upon a gateway to another dimension, one which will release untold evil upon the city. The Ghostbusters are called on to save the Big Apple.

While I like Tommy Boy more, ghostbusters is a classic that cannot be denied.

This is confusing. If we're not voting based on which popcorn movie we liked more, what's the point?

You can vote what you liked more. To me its what movie had more of a cutlural effect, what movie drew you in more and etc. Tommy boy was better IMO but I love comedy and it was hilarious but ghostbusters has a better plot and created a massive following.

So for you, this poll is asking you to pick which movie you think other people think is better?;)

Whats a better movie in general, not neccessarily what I enjoyed more. I enjoyed Tommy boy more but Ghostbusters is an excellent movie. Plot, story, summertime blockbuster. wins every catagory.
