Jessica Biel and Ryan Reynolds are both Nightstalkers and they're teaming up with Snipes to kick vampire butt.

Heard it was terrible, what did you think?

Well, it was much better than the second. I thought the second blew chunks.

It didn't flow well. Yes, I think that is my biggest complaint. It just seemd choppy to me.

Also, this one isn't so much a Blade movie as much as it is an ensemble piece. I read that Snipes isn't too keen on doing another one, but they made this movie with the idea that there could be spin-off's/sequels with the Nightstalkers, the characters introduced in this movie.

The fighting was pretty good, but they still won't keep the camera still. The fight choreography (especially Snipes's) is really good but you can't tell sometimes.

The best part of the movie was Ryan Reynolds, by far. The dude is too funny. He has the best delivery I've seen in a long time.

Jessican Biehl was quite nice to look at, and she kicked some pretty good arse.

It didn't do so well this weekend though, so I doubt there will be much talk of any sort of continuation.

No Nightstalkers Blade Spinoff?
Source: Creature Corner
January 6, 2005

While Blade: Trinity definitely looks to be the third and final film in the "Blade" franchise, there was lots of talk about a potential Nightstalkers spinoff film which would star Ryan Reynolds and Jessica Biel.

Creature Corner caught up with New Line Cinema's Toby Emmerich to ask what the status of the spinoff is.

"There are no plans right now for a Nightstalkers film until I see how well Blade: Trinity does on video."

The $65 million-budgeted Blade: Trinity has earned only $70.8 million worldwide so far, compared to the $131.2 million earned by Blade and $155 million earned by Blade II.

I've been a Ryan Reynolds fan since his Two Guys, A Girl, and A Pizza Place days. I had hoped that this movie would spring him to more roles but I think his part was horribly written. Most of his one-liners seemed terribly forced and although he has a natural charisma and whatnot his character just seemed totally forced.

Jessica Biel is one of the most beautiful actresses around IMO but her character didn't have enough to do in this one, I thought.

It just seemed like there was a whole lot they wanted to do with this movie and didn't end up doing or were unable to. There were too many things to flesh out and nothing was develop. The action sequences were good but I thought they were the weakest of the trilogy. Same thing with the villains.

Sad, cause I thought the first two Blade films were excellent but it looks like the franchise limps away with the third entry.

I liked this flick quite a bit. Good entertainment!

Also, after seeing Reynols in this role, I think he'll make a great Wally West.

Recently watched it. I agree, Reynold's delivery was really funny and Jessica Biel was awesome. However, if I was a huge Blade fan I would probably be a little disappointed that so much of the focus was taken off of Blade.
