We know Timmy has the leg and he's shown himself to be money when it counts.

Rackers does so much that is good that you want/need him on the team for kickoffs, but he flat out sucks when it counts.

I finally figured out how to make a video and put it on youtube so if anyone wants to bet me that I can't make a 34 yarder 10 out of 10 times I will match any amount. Matter of fact, I'd also be willing to bet that I could make 5/10 lefty.

Dude, c'mon man... My son can pee like a racehorse at home. At the stadium, he dries up at the stall.
There's just a bit of a difference performing in front of people, no?

Sorry guys, but the Rackers miss was on me.

Just before the game I told Shane that it was nice to not to have to worry about Rackers anymore -because we very rarely had to rely on him to win a game. :trout:

This was just after I commented while watching the Ravens blow out the Pats, "Is it better to to watch your team beating the snot out of the other guys, or have a game go right down to the wire and then win?"

Who knew we'd get both scenarios in the same game? :)

Sorry, no matter how many FG's you kick, you can't have Racker's job.

Actually, I think it's Shane & cardsfan89's fault. At Valle Luna the day before the game, they named their table "Laces Out" in the table-naming competition. Clearly, this makes them liable.

That would make it Fiasco's fault him and his wife Amy had the table named before I sat down. Also don't forget 89 was there even later than you ;)

Right! I was thinking Fiasco. Screwed it up in my head (shocking, I know). It's Fiasco's fault!

Great now we have not one but two fortune tellers on this board.

Last sentence in above link.

:mulli:

Shane - Do I really need to explain this to you?

Had Rackers missed that kick, he is a UFA or RFA (IIRC) and there is NO WAY IN HELL the Cardinals would have used their Franchise Tag or over paid for a guy who just choked away the one clutch kick he has had in two years. No way you pay a freaking kicker Top 5 money when he can't make kicks when it counts. No way he becomes anything but the scape goat by every fan, player, and FO member of the team. Should Warner have retired it would have been the ultimate "What if?" in Arizona Sports history. And fair or not the momentum would have been such that they NEVER could have brought him back.

If he had another season on his deal that would be one thing, but he doesn't. They would have had to make a decision on him and I can't imagine the "Anti-Rackers" venom that would have been coming from everybody making it impossible for them to give him what he feels he deserves.

Fortunately we don't have to even consider that scenario because of the end result.

But that doesn't make me a "fortune teller"....it makes me someone with an educated opinion of what would transpire using past experience, knowledge of Rackers' contract, the fact that a guy like Nugent could be had for 1/6 the price, and my overall understanding of the team and FO.

You do realize that with all that fancy wording on how you come to that conclusion that its still just a guess and you really have no clue what way the FO will choose to go right?

Not worth the time and energy it will take to drive over to the field and kick and fetch 10X's over. How's about your avatar/sig for a year?

Done. But one condition. You need to keep the camera rolling for all 20 kicks. No stopping after each kick. It needs to be a constant running tape from beginning to end. Then of course 10 of 10 righty and 5 of 10 from lefty.

You also need to mark it off 5 yards at a time and mark the 24 yard line on camera. I also need to see a view of the goal post that confirms whether or not the kick was made or missed. No side angle having to take your word for it.

Also try to get it done soon. No practice should be allowed.

I can't spray the field, but I will bring a long tape. 34 yards is 102 feet I guess i can put a marker down at 24ft, but I was just wondering why you want me to?. I also was willing to make a separate bet on the left but they are not one and the same. I am gonna need to wait until the weekend so I can borrow my my little brother and a friend or two to hold the camera and shag balls. I think I have 2 regulation NFL balls, but I have to dig them out of my garage and pump them up. It is also brutally cold here. I will make them regardless, but keep in mind I am kicking in 20 degree weather (wind chill is a bitch out on an empty isolated field) with a strong wind. I was just gonna have the camera right behind me (and a little to the right so it was out of my way) as I kick.
