I feel a little guilty for these kinds of threads.
Championing for one guy usually means taking a paycheck from another.
That's not a nice thing to do.
But neither Pendergast or Davis have been able to get the job done. Now it's time to try again.
In a perfect world I'd love for John Fox to join the team.
Super well respected and knowledgeable, he'd bring credibility and swagger to the defense. Fox is a great coach in the league.
Pro Career: Fox became the third coach of the Carolina Panthers on January 26, 2002. Prior to getting his first head coaching gig, Fox spent five years as the Giants defensive coordinator. He was a consultant to the Rams in 1996, following a two-year stint with the Oakland Raiders. Before joining Oakland, Fox was the secondary coach in San Diego in 1992 and 1993. Fox started his NFL coaching career with Pittsburgh as a defensive back coach from 1989-1991, overseeing the NFL's top-rated pass defense in 1990.
Failing that, here's some other guys I'm interested in learning more about, because I'm a realist I've tried to pick names that have some experience with teams that run a 3-4 (or just really intriguing job histories). If you have names of your own or know a little something about these guys, share with the class.:
