...lets go...playoff seeding could not be better, match-ups could not be better...Beg of the year I thought we would not come close to the playoffs, but now that we are here, why not make some noise...when we had a bunch of studs we couldnt win it, now that we have a bunch of trash lets make a deep run...COME ON! ONE TIME

Me neither. I thought the 12-18 stretch was more indicative of what this team was than it's 28-7 finish. One great thing out of all this is that since we don't have our #1 this year, that we made the 3rd seed makes it that much less of a loss to us compared to us being a low seed or missing the playoffs altogether. It mitigates the loss in a big way....

POR is a TOUGH matchup....

Totally agree with this guy... I think this years team would beat any past Nash team except for '04-'05. Especially with this smarter more driven Amare.

I can't say why but I have a good feeling about the playoffs.

I can't say why but I have a good feeling about the playoffs.

For me it's because the Suns:

-have home court in the first round
-are playing a team not at 100%
-(if they advance) will avoid the Lakers in the second round
-(if they advance) will likely get a Dallas or San Antonio team that just won a tough series
-(if they advance) would have home court in the second round against the Spurs
-(if they advance) will possibly have Lopez back for the conference finals

Really aside from Lopez' injury, things have fallen together very nicely for a team we're used to thinking of as snakebitten.

I am very impressed by the Suns' resolve and performance the past few months. As a Lakers fan, I will be rooting for the Suns against Portland. :)

Only because Portland would beat the Lakers in 5. :D

Great thread topic and most of the content is right on except for the following bolded part:

"now that we hava bunch of trash lets make a deep run...COME ON! ONE TIME"

Amare is now playing like a franchise player every fan had hoped to see years earlier, Nash is playing within a team concept as good as ever, the Suns have a great bench and Gentry is coaching out of his mind. The Suns have somehow plugged a hole at center that I thought would be their demise. Somehow Gentry has resurrected the role of Tim Thomas at center with Frye. My compliments to Collins effort at center. I wish Lopez had stayed healthy. Here is hoping the Suns are a team of destiny after all these years.

SarverKerr are still hung over from the celebration....and their pride is now fully intact.

I understand there may have not a been a lot of good trade offers for Amare but I also wonder if this is one of the reasons Amare was not traded. If Kerr had given up a lottery pick (especially a low one) by not making the playoffs he would never live it down.

Aug 2009 - Was I right or what?

Am I the only one who sees the glass is half full?
Nash is still one of the best point guards in the NBA, Dragic is coming along and can learn a lot from him. Grant Hill played like an all star last year and his comment about "unfinished business" leads me to believe that he thinks the Suns can do a lot better than all the gloom & doom'ers posting on this thread.
Amare is playing for a contract. He's not stupid and knows that his shortcomings on defense & lack of rebounds will keep him for getting a max deal. I expect he will have his best year ever in the NBA.
Fry may get excited about a new style of play and live up to the potential expected of him when he was drafted.
Richardson may go to AA and get a new lease on life....
Lou A., Barbosa, Dudley, Dargic are very good bench player who will see quality time. Clark is an unknown at this time but I'm willing to give him some what of a chance to add to the bench.
Perhaps the team will actually practice defense and surprise us all.

The season hasn't even begun and you would think it was over already according to some of you guys - why bother playing???? Injuries happen, trades happen, **it happens.... Who knows? I still see the glass as half full. I've been a fan since day one and I'll still be a fan even if the Sun's never win a championship.

I don't post very much but I allways check to see what the experts on the board have to say. The post above was mine back in Aug 2009..... I told y.......:D
