Strengths: Is tough and competitive and has good experience. Gets off the line quickly. Shows great hands; rarely drops the ball. Can catch balls over his head. Runs tough after the catch. Shows some burst; can run over defensive backs. Blocks well in open field. Has a strong upper body. Works hard as a blocker. Could contribute on special teams, too.

Weaknesses: Lacks great size. Has trouble matching up against bigger defensive ends. Lacks ideal lower-body strength. Doesn't get a consistent push and struggles against strong bull rushers. Will never be a deep threat. Severe lower abdominal strain in 2003 raises durability concerns.

Bottom line: Dreessen, who rebounded to start full time in 2004, is solid and reliable but lacks any exceptional qualities. He proved at the Senior Bowl he can play in the NFL. He's not flashy but a team like the Redskins under Joe Gibbs would benefit greatly from taking him. Look for him to be selected in Round 3.

I think on day 2 you look less at need and more at value pick and get the best football player available. TE's in that spot obviously didn't fit that...I trust what Green is doing (plus I don't think a late round TE will have anymore of an impact than what we already have on the roster).

I agree its a 100% BAP now. It just worked out great how the BAP kept filling our needs every round until 6 which is why we have had such a good draft. I will trust Green also (this was NOT the way it used to be)
