the longhorns website lists him at 6'7 315 and is a second year player. he's played quite a bit already and has played well. He played against A&M and Georgia and then some against Clemson. Texas will also have another top player return. WR Isaiah bond back who missed the Clemson game.Just to be on the safe side, he should sit this one out.
Is his back up 6 5, 350?

This is why I don't have a problem with the ASU QB's comments. As a leader you need to make your teammates believe that you can win the game. Texas have probably been favored to win every game this year so they have to guard against that and realize that ASU are a lot better than people give them credit for. I will say though if I am a Texas defender I am a little more motivated after I hear the comment and that's ok too.ASU continuing to feed off doubt on way to Peach Bowl
The Sun Devils have continued to feed off national doubt ahead of ASU's Peach Bowl matchup with Texas with a trip to the semifinals on the line.arizonasports.com
As I've suggested earlier in this thread, Texas is by far the bigger, quicker and more talented team. So it's not much of a stretch to suggest the Longhorns could run-away with this game. It will take a coaching masterpiece (which Kenny and his staff are capable of), combined with a level of 60 minute play that this team has yet to reach - and they've played some great games...any of which won't nearly be good enough to overcome the deck that is heavily stacked against them.Listened to another podcast this morning. The consensus seems to be we are going to get curb stomped.
A few thoughts (some stats I heard today):As I've suggested earlier in this thread, Texas is by far the bigger, quicker and more talented team. The offense should be motivated by the comments as well. A shot was taken at their QB. He can make them believe they can win the game without those comments. Having said that, I don’t disagree with your sentimentsThis is why I don't have a problem with the ASU QB's comments. As a leader you need to make your teammates believe that you can win the game. Yeah, I was afraid what a month of "attaboys" and pats on the back would do to the team psyche. Sounds like they will trouble getting their helmets on.Skattebo adds to ASU talk: Nobody can stop me

Now the Texas defense has motivation
Eh, likely all they’ve heard since longhorns won is that they’re going to get curb-stomped. They may need to speak the bravado into existence.Yeah, I was afraid what a month of "attaboys" and pats on the back would do to the team psyche. Sounds like they will trouble getting their helmets on.
Not good. It's one thing to be confident. It's another to think Texas can't beat you. The closer I get to this game the worse I feel about it.
Sam and Cam need to shut up. Let the play on the field speak for itself. Just my opinion.
Bulletin board material can go both ways. I just want the game to kickoff and see what happens. Sick of all the pregame blather myself.Eh, likely all they’ve heard since longhorns won is that they’re going to get curb-stomped. They may need to speak the bravado into existence.
We haven't earned anything yet. Play the underdog card. It's good to have confidence but it's another thing to be arrogant.
I'm not liking this chatter.
The Peach Bowl evokes some very old memories of Kush & the gang (I think it was Spaghetti Joe Spagnola at QB) in 1970 that put them on the map. Very bad weather that day but ASU boat raced the Tar Heels.
I hope history (without the snow) repeats itself. Go Devils!
Skattebo has had this attitude all season. It’s part of his persona. I don’t love it, but if it’s what makes him tick, let him tick. The same here. I don't like the chatter coming from ASU. I'd prefer if the Sun Devils were the quiet underdog with a point to prove.

A fair and reasonable assessment. I prefer the circle the wagons, quiet confidence route myself but hard to argue with your point.Skattebo has had this attitude all season. It’s part of his persona. I don’t love it, but if it’s what makes him tick, let him tick.
As for the rest of the squad, sam’s comment was a bit naive. But I think it’s that naivety that allows this team to not recognize how large each big moment has been all season. As a result no stage has looked too big for them. Let that continue. Don’t let doubt creep in. Now isn’t the time for modesty. Now is the time for confidence. Modesty is for post-game.
