In other news, from what I've read from Blazers camp, everyone is pleasantly surprised by Spanish Chocolate... though I've yet to read much on his defensive abilities.

Rondo went off again tonight. He's much better than Banks already, and he hasn't even played in a regular season game. I'm telling you, it's coming true. The heir apparent to Steve Nash was actually a Sun, albeit for about 30 seconds.

Going off in a pre-season game? big woop....lets see him average 12, 4 and 6 through most of the season on a playoff contending NBA team like Banks did in Minny last year.

Rondo is not better than Banks.

What is sad is that Marcus Williams the guy we passed up, looks like the best player in the entire draft right now.

And probably still not better than Banks right now. Still the same with Spanish Chocolate.

I thought the reason had something to do with him stealing computers at school?

Part of the reason. His overall personality is supposedly out of whack. Not only did he do that, but he showed absolutely no remorse. From what I understand, he tanked in a bunch of his interviews with the teams.

Lots of teams will overlook a kid making a mistake or two when he was younger. But they have to prove something in the interviews, and apparently he didn't do that for most people

Having watched Rondo at UK for a couple of years, having seen nights were he played like the best player in college, followed by nights were he'd have problems being the best player at Scottsdale CC, I'm glad he is not a Sun.

Head case as well, and not a good teammate.

Look out for Rondo

One bright spot for the Celtics in the preseason has been the play of rookie point guard Rajon Rondo. The 6-2 former Kentucky standout, drafted No. 21 overall by the Suns and traded to the Celtics for a future first-round pick, has been an energizer with his ability to get in the paint and set up teammates. He is not a good outside shooter (at least not yet), and his defense needs work (like most rookies), but during his first three preseason games, he has been a skinny little jolt of caffeine in a green headband.

"I'm not surprised," said Rondo, who was drafted behind several other point guards. "I wasn't too cocky but I was confident in the type of style I play. I just try to come in every night and play hard. I think I'm doing a good job running the team, trying not to force things."

Rondo already has made the top spot on ESPN's top 10 list. Against the Knicks, he soared high in the air to grab a missed shot by Gerald Green and threw down a one-handed dunk. He then turned and intercepted the inbounds pass by David Lee, scored and drew a foul for a three-point play. Pierce even got up off his seat on the bench to hoot and holler.

yes and it looks like his body fat percentage didn't help his cause either..which was 14%
After recording the highest body fat percentage among guards tested during predraft physicals in Orlando three weeks ago, the weight loss answered some, but far from all, of the questions concerning his work ethic.
