How do you guys see this playing out.

Projected Draft order top 5:

1. JAX
2. OAK
3. KC
4.PHL
5. ARZ

Ok teams picking in the top 5 most likely looking for a QB:

JAX--Gabbert and Heene aren't getting it done
OAK--How much longer does OAK plan to stick with Palmer? They need a guy they can hitch their franchise with to invigorate the fan base
KC?--Im torn here. Are we starting to see Brady Quinn starting to take control of this team?
ARZ--No question, not only the worst QB situation in the NFL, but maybe the worst situation in the NFL in the last decade.

Teams picking after ARZ that could be in the market:

DAL
SAN
BUF

Guys who could be available:

Michael Vick
Alex Smith
Phillip Rivers

Top Guys in the draft:

Matt Barkely
Geno Smith
Tyler Wilson

Here's how I see it shaking out:
JAX--They take Jarvis Jones to bolster the D because they feel Tyler Wilson will be there in the second round. Also they need to get butts in the seats and nothing would do that more than to acquire Tebow a destination he's always been rumored to land. Khan is a bold owner (I like him) and is not adverse to making a big move and JAX has always been aggressive on draft day, I wouldn't put it past them to move back up to get a QB.

OAK--Again they will need a QB. They got burnt last time they went with the flashy QB early. I like OAK to make a move with SF for Alex Smith, who loves the Bay Area. I also like OAK to hire Norv Turner as their next HC to work with Smith.

KC--This team has a lot of top 15 picks. A lot. They will most assuredly clean house this offseason. Pay days are looming for their stars I think they make a move to move out of the top three. Here comes Jerry Jones and the Cowboys who loves his flashy players and is envious of Washington's Dan Synder and RGIII.With trading even easier and less of a risk and Dallas' propensity to move up I see Dallas taking Geno Smith. Tony Romo is now a Chief.

4. Philly no QB here, bit bolster an atrocious OLine. Typically the safest pick with a new coaching staff.Luke Joeckel is their man.

5. Arizona--a team built to win now. Taking someone like Matt Barkley makes no sense. The Cards and this D simply do not have time to develop another QB.They are also in no position to trade a top 5 pick with. Well what are the options?
Keep an injury prone Kolb, get the newly released, aged veterans Carson Palmer and Michael Vick, trade for Phillip Rivers, or go FA with Jason Campbell, Matt Moore or Tavaris Jackson.

What happens with Whisenhunt will determine everything. If Whiz stays, I see Kolb staying and the guy rumored to be coming here the last two years to push him: Matt Moore. More of the same. If Whisenhunt is gone I think the Cards make a bold move to get fans excited again and trade for Phillip Rivers if San Diego doesn't release him.

Good read. You put some thought into this.

How much credibility is there to SD parting with Rivers? He has had a bad season but franchise qbs dont grow on trees, and wouldnt SDs new HC want a guy like that to help him win games?

And as a corollary to that, i know Rivers has said he loves playing in Norvs system and doesnt want him fired.....Couldnt we hire Norv as OC and trade for Rivers if available as a great way to jumpstart the O?

Thus far, none of the QB's coming out in 2013 ring any bells.

Maybe that will change as we watch the bowl games and read the scouting reports. But if it doesn't, we might be better off trolling the weeds for a dominant LT. Plus - if my instincts prove correct and Manti T'eo turns out to be the next Junior Seau, I'd hate it if we repeated the same mistake we made when we passed on Peterson and drafted for need (i.e. Levi) instead.

One other consideration - maybe we expand the prototypical skill-set to draft a QB who can use his feet to compensate for a subpar arm or lack of some of the intangibles.

All said, however, My gut tells me that if we focus on building a strong OL, everything else will fall in place.

yeah... I gotta believe a new HC will probably want one season in SD with a guy who up until two years ago was one of the best QBs in the game.

Cards will be pick 3 or 4. If that's the case, they need to trade down and take one of the 3 OT and pick up more picks.

If the Card's are happy enough with Brown and Massie and Potter continue to develop, OT doesn't seem as big a need as the interior. Stiffen up the middle, improve the quality of the QB and those two things should hopefully work in unison to improve the play of both units.

I'm not normally a fan of dropping out of the top part of the draft where the elite talent is, but if we could move back into the early teens and get Warmack, and use what we gained plus some later picks to package something to get back into the late 1st if a worthy QB is there.

Lots of "ifs" and trading back is a game of chance. Wouldn't want to trade away a high 2nd or 3rd.

KC is the only team I see that I think for sure takes a QB in front of the Cards.

Unless, I was lied to Jax is not going to take Tyler Wilson in round 2.

If the Cards are sitting in the top 5, and are going to use the draft to try and solve the QB issue, they need to either trade up for Geno Smith or hope that Tyler Wilson falls to them. I don't really like either plan. I'm not sold on Geno Smith and hoping someone falls to you is rarely a good plan. However, I would love a draft of Te'o and Wilson.

I could see them moving up to draft Tyler Wilson in the lower part of Round 1 or the beginning of round 2. They moved up to get Daryl Washington and that worked out very well. They will get a good player in Round 1 if they don't reach for a qb.
