1. Red zone ineptitude - again could not score from 8 yard line and had to settle for FG.

2. Missing running game (or conversely going away from running game) - we had decent success in first half running the ball, but went away from running in the second half. I believe we had maybe 13 attempts in the first half to 5 in the second even before we got behind. Wussy play by JJ on that 4th down run.

3. Special teams meltdown - again giving away a TD on KO return, 7th return for TD this season. The kickoff was also not good and was low perhaps played a factor in that return.

4. Refs - Big blown call on that Q 25 yard catch that should have put the ball on Skins' 16 yard line, instead we ending up punting.

5. Fumbles by both running backs - killed decent drives.

Probably more to add...

I'm wondering what effect JJ's benching for about a quarter had on his confidence. Not saying he shouldn't have tried harder on our last play. He was MIA for awhile and I never figured out why. Dunno if he was hurt, but he disappeared after his fumble. After Shipp's fumble we abandoned establishing the run and Kurt took awhile to get it going. We have had opportunities to have great running games, but we seem to go away from the run once we have any sort of problem.

What the hell was that playcalling? Don't run on 3rd and 1, so we'll run to the outside on 4th and 2?

WTF?

That special teams meltdown really hurt. I bet the cards would like to have those 7 back.

All true but in the end as a player you have to know that on 4th and 2 ifyou have the ball, you can't just go down, you have to at least make a move or lower your shoulder and try to power through Taylor.

JJ made a large mistake one that he hopefully will learn from. I can guarantee there are guys on the team telling him right now you can NOT go down on that play.

I hate the playcall but in the end the RB has to finish the run.

I am hoping it is just a rookie mistake. All in all its not a huge loss in the way of results, but it did hurt nonetheless. I want him to be a key part of the offense next year and years to come, so lets hope he did learn from this.

Yes, once again another bogus call by the refs. They get to hide behind the so-called "judgment" call on that play which is complete bs. Any moron could see it was an obvious forceout. Somebody needs to stand up in these crooked refs faces and let them know we aren't their "bitch" anymore, otherwise they will continue to bend us over.

How did they miss that push out of bounds after Q caught it? The redskin guy clearly bumped him out on the way down. It would have help if Boldin would improve on his toe tapping abilities, though. It seems he comes down alot with his legs splayed out.
Anyway, that would have been a highlight reel moment, damn shame.

I believe the reason they did not call a push-out was because they thought Boldin did not have control of the ball. The radio guys said after looking at the replay that it was not the case and Boldin merely switch hands. Anyone who watched the game can comment on it...

C'mon Russ. He is in the NFL now. This is probably his 12-15th year of playing football. He knows that and no one has to tell him. He just acted like a straight up pansy on that play.

I don't know why, but this loss is bothering me more than almost any other this year. Well, I guess I did break a couple things when LD had that wonderful false start to finish the game earlier in the year...

But I guess I was fooling myself that maybe just maybe if we won this game we were building momentum, that maybe finally this team was ready to mentally make the transition to a winning attitude.

Some of that stuff on the field today, its just wow.

If the Redskins would have punted when Darling blew up the run on 3rd down to start the second half, if we would have at least touched the returner on the kickoff, if the refs would have called the push out with boldin, if the OC wouldn't make such ridiculous calls when the game is on the line, if Arrington would have fought for a damn yard, if... if... if...

I'm ******** sick of talking about ifs.

Do what it takes to win the game. Period.

And I'm sure there are guys on the team telling him that right now, that's my point.

I'd just hope that he learns from it, I don't think the entire team is telling him you suck I hope we release you, but I'm sure there are some guys telling him dammit you can't do that you have to fight for yardage there.

If you had been at the game and seen how flat the team was coming out you would be really sick. Leonard Davis looked like he was half asleep. The only thing that kept the Cards from getting killed today was Q's play and inept play by the Skins Qb. If the Skins hadn't had most of their WR's out the score would have been 35-13.

BTW: For those of you who are fans of the slant tackle defense check out the 3rd down play at the end of the game where the Skins guard simply pushes kolodje out of the way andPortis runs for a first down right through the hole created.

This game convinced me that Green should be fired one minute after the draft is completed next April.

That had to be an NFL record for turnovers in one quarter.

I believe Green was sending him a message after the fumble. He was not running as aggressively when he was put back in. I do believe his confidence was shaken and he looked more like he didn't want to make a mistake. I liked how he was running at the beginning of the game. Was a shame he pulled up on that fourth down but he will learn.

This team needs a RB and an O line and one run stuffing DT.

I'd say with that it'd be a playoff team.

Throw out the running back and now you have it.
If your lucky you find one super FA pick in someone like Hutcison, G, and you have probably made the offensive line.

I am proud of the Cards since the last half of the season. All you Green haters can stuff it , he done a nice job. We have learned alot... We are on the upside...
From here on we cannot loose...if we loose, we get a higher pick with Green, if we win that's positive too... we can't loose.

Today, the Offense did not loose, nor the Defense, just the ST did , and that can change in a heart beat... I am still VERY POSITIVE.

4 turnovers and inability to score from 8 yard line with 4 tries??? That is offense failure.

Two of the RB fumbles happened after we started to put drives together. Who knows we could have gotten some points out of those drives.

If we score a TD from the 8 yard, then the KO returned for TD only ties the game. That changes entire game strategy.

Any coach who condones that slant tackle defense in a 4-3 is an idiot. Green needs to go.

I said that last week, after our win, and was ridiculed for my name. Apparently it is a sore subject to speak that way about our savior Denny.
