Bringing him back would make a lot of sense for sure. Already knows the offense and is a decent player. The way our linemen are getting injured we can use him.

You have to start considering activating Dorian Johnson if you care about keeping him long term...team s are snatching up offensive linemen as theirs go down. If this doesn't lead to Johnson being activated, I don't think the staff cares to develop him.

So decent the worst offense in the NFL didn't feel like keeping him on their practice squad.
Not disagreeing, but it could also be - so decent that a terrible front office and coaching staff made another horrible personnel decision.

Just sayin'.

From what I hear when Toner was cut, no one from the Cardinals spoke with him other than an equipment guy who basically told him "you have until this evening to pick up your stuff or it will be thrown away". That was the last he heard from the Cardinals. His agent initially thought that meant the Cardinals would be putting him on the practice squad but that never happened.

Now I don't know if all of the other cuts to 53 were treated like this or if Toner pissed someone off.

Three teams contacted Toner after the Cardinals released him and he ultimately chose the Bengals. As mentioned the Bengals cut him recently from their practice squad to sign Hardy Nickerson.

True, but he is garbage that knows the system, at least, so there isn't a learning curve like with the other garbage out there.

I'm hearing that Toner signed with the Patriots.

He had a workout yesterday and Belichick was present for it. They signed him right after the workout. I believe he was signed to their practice squad.

Only carries worth when Brady is within at least sixty miles of the facility or the Great Belichick becomes just Bill the coach :)
