Bennett would be nice IF he can stay on the field and not the injured list. A bit injury prone but a nice back. Then, we can pick for another area of need and there are MANY on this team.

Yeah CB's a workhorse and can bust it in between the tackles and would be a great fit for a grounded coaches such as Schottemheimer, Cowher, or Gibbs. But Denny wants to air it out and make big plays, which means getting a back who can make something happen in the open field and can get to the house. Robert Smith was never a "workhorse" in Minnesota just like I don't expect our next RB to be.

That's pure BS, it's just a way of taking a cheap shot at the FO. Do you really think we would try to resign him, pleeze.pete said:It is becoming pretty clear Smith won't be back and I think he's known that for many weeks now. Just a guess - I'm assuming the QB from Cal comes out this year. I think he'll go ahead of Leinart. Plus we're pretty high in the draft right now ourselves, around the number 4 pick I believe. Leinart will go top 5 I think but I don't know if he'll go top 2 or 3.Reddog said:How do you figure if SanFran and Miami are ahead of us? Unless we play San Fran three more times they figure to have a higher draft pick than us.
