We could draft two running backs, but that leaves us with 3 rookies or 1st year player. I think we need at least one veteran who can be a sort of a leader for such a young group of guys.

If Dunn is willing to take one last shot at a ring for a one year 1 mill deal that would be OK.

Can someone tell me again the cap implications for cutting Edge?

Not to be obnoxious but DUUUUHHHHH!!!!!!

Drafting a back will take care of ONE back.

You need at least 3 backs in the NFL......right now we got 1.

Not to be contentious, but we have two under contract... Edge and Hightower.

I say sign Dunn, Rudi Johnson, or Kevin Jones to an 1 year contract (or maybe 2 of these) and then draft one next year. You could start 1 to go with Hightower (preferably Dunn). If you could get 2 for a reasonable amount, I say do this and draft one in a higher round next year. We need to REALLY draft defense this year in the higher rounds, especially linebackers....

Don't care for any of the veteran backs you mention. The Cards might, so we'll hear eventually. I'd be surprised if we brought any veteran RBs in for a look. FB? Yes.

My hunch is that if there were a veteran RB the Cards wanted we would have heard about it. Signing a FA RB would allow them to be much more comfortable letting Edge go so there should be plenty of desire to fill that need. It seems clear they do not want Hightower to be the only RB under contract on draft day. The RB position is the biggest question mark on the roster for me. I expect at least one surprise.

Edge will not be on the Cardinals next year.No way, no how. I would like to have seen Benson be given a look but he signed the 1st week of free agency and the Cards don't participate in that. There's not really anyone worthwhile out there. Maybe someone will get released. I would still love for the Cards to somehow make a trade for Jerious Norwood. Maybe they will with all the picks they get for Boldin. I think Clarett is up for parole this year :D.
